I think killing a thread with emojis like that should be called 'love bombing'!

Still up on my active thing. Read in disbelief. Can't believe it was allowed to carry on.

Yay! Death by emoji.

I don't think you can expect volunteers for a nightwatch post, they need to pay someone. They are running a business

Could we all post something on all the other threads in chat to make it drop off the first page?

AuntieMaggie · 21/02/2016 08:28

Ironically Oddsocks posted a thread in nightwatch during the early hours of Friday morning asking how long it takes them to respond... they never replied...

You're lucky you didn't see anymore head. It was one of the nastiest attacks I've ever read. Very concerned about the OP after that attack.

Has anyone heard from her? Hope she's ok. Poor girl must be in bits.

Hopefully Socks is getting some sleep and not upset somewhere.

Oh crikey, oddsocks, sweetheart, you didn't deserve that vitriol. Mumsnet has been a safe haven for me, up at all hours with a disgruntled baby. It's sad to see such unwarranted cruelty. Where's the sisterhood?

It's very worrying.

I think given the size of the forum, there needs to be some paid staff overnight or an automated system where anything reported more than X amount of times gets automatically suspended.

I hope oddsocks is ok. She didn't sound in a great place when she started the thread.

Report
Dontdrinkandfacebook · 21/02/2016 08:39

I hope she posts some n so we know she's okay.

Report
gooseberryroolz · 21/02/2016 08:39

No, she didn't. She's been having a bad few days.

Yes, thread must have been reported dozens of times. I think automatically suspending a thread after X number of reports would be a good idea.

Sincerely hoping that socks is getting some much needed sleep and that when she's wakes up and sees all the love and concern on here for her it brightens her day a little.

There should definitely be more safeguarding in place considering the size of the site. It's such a shame it takes an incident like this to highlight that.
