Our feline overlords have so many current strings to their joint and several bows.

Auditioning for Series One of The Prison Cat, forming a band, and continuing to plot against their enemies by means of their Ouija Boards - will they even have time to sleep now?

Shoelaces are almost the best, surpassed only by those stringy things you get to hang specs round your neck with. Girlcat says those are better because they have the little loops at each end for attaching to the arms of your glasses, which are perfect for snagging with a claw so it trails behind you as you dash around madly before killing it.

I see your glasses cable loop and raise you the cardboard stick things you get in new shoes to keep their shape. Agatha can't get enough of them. But it has to be the cardboard ones, not plastic.

Even cheaper than all the above, Tobias has discovered the thin cardboard strips you pull off to open cardboard boxes (e.g. Zooplus) or cardboard envelopes (e.g. Amazon). Even better than the plastic strips they use round big parcels.

Sybil is very keen on those too.

I’m expecting an Amazon delivery so we’ll have to try that.

After the Bathroon Catastrophe brought to you by Cat Four, we now have the Teapot Tumble by Cat Two. I failed to give her cuddles long enough, so clearly my fault. Jumping up onto the desk to return to cuddle position; she knocked teapot, cup, tray and strainer onto the carpet. Luckily it was tiny teapot and the carpet, but still a big enough mess to need capital letters.
I would like tell everyone how much I like Cat Three who doesn’t jump. Cats who jump are very over-rated.

I used to love Maureen Lipman. Mum had two or maybe three of her books which I must have read when I was about 12 and really enjoyed. I don't even think I knew who she was apart from the books but they were really well written and funny.

I got a close up of Frankie's wiggly little whiskers last night. I have never known a cat with such ridiculous whiskers before. They can't be any good helping him navigate or judge distances. No wonder he often walks into things.

Gizmo definitely used to jump. I think he's faking it after his move to Scotland...

Now that I go to choir rehearsals so much, and it's getting bitterly cold, I'm feeling very guilty when I get back after being out for four hours, and he's sitting on the doorstep when I get back.

Cold enough down here in the soft south that Girlcat has taken to spending the day under the duvet on my bed. Don't think Tobias has worked out yet that he could probably do the same with either my or their bed. But I have noticed they are tending to lie side by side touching for the first time these days, presumably for the heat exchange.

You just don't expect it to be snowing and -3c overnight here in November, maybe January and February. Working from home today & have fleece leggings on under track suit bottoms, thick slipper socks on under the fleecy slippers, and 3 layers on top. Just been upstairs to give Girlcat a fuss - well that was my excuse, more like warming my hands up on her warm soft belly.

A cosy cat house outside would just be an invitation for Picard......... or Suzy.

They'd all end up fighting over it and Gizmo might not win.

Anyway, I've taken the plunge and ordered a ramp. I'm just going to use it when I'm going to be out for several hours. And yes, I know that this is also an invitation for all the cats in my life to come in, but at least Gizmo will be warm and inside.

Gizmo generally wins indoor fights. I've watched him. 🤣

I went outside quickly without my coat on, with a tape measure. OMG I was very cold when I got back in, and I was only out there for 45 seconds or so. Wow.
