Introducing Marvin the Mau

He's a 2 and 1/2 year old Arabian Mau who arrived yesterday. So far he's a typical Mau - athletic, friendly and intelligent but mercifully quite quiet. Taking the excellent advice here he spent last night in the kitchen ( eventually - he escaped once) but as of now is snoozing on our bed.

The ancient Egypians used to worship cats. Judging by his regal expression, it appears he is expecting that tradition to continue.

He needs to be - so far he's tried to climb up the chimney and knocked a bowl from the mantle piece onto my head. I know they like being up high but this lad is ridiculous

Nope - he comes down in his own sweet time usually with an almighty thump!
