New thread for the inmates of Toddler Towers. Strange to think, it's about two completely different cats, from the original
Thread. But Magic, Maia and Cheddar will never be forgotten.

I've run out of lil e lix and cat milk. I'm in trouble!

knocks on screen

Are you still alive, or only slightly chewed?

Toddlerteaplease · 07/12/2024 11:44

I'm still alive. I will rectify my error immediately. I think she still thinks I'm going to grab her for eye drops as she's under the bed in the mornings now. Instead of demanding breakfast.

Oooh, bargain!

Toddlerteaplease · 08/12/2024 20:34

@SoDoffYourHat she's not been very good value so far. 😂

Ellmau · 08/12/2024 23:40

Surely priceless?

Toddlerteaplease · 09/12/2024 10:18

@Ellmau yes she is. 😻

There appears to be a sleepy hippo on my sofa.

The "hungry hippo" is my favourite pose 😍

Toddlerteaplease · 09/12/2024 23:36

@RumNotRun It's adorable and she says she's always hungry, but not a hippo 🤣

No cat can resist a paper bag. When I went to the US recently I brought back a proper paper grocery bag. It was the best holiday present I could have brought for my cats.

Toddlerteaplease · 10/12/2024 03:59

None of mine have ever been interested in bags or boxes!

Penelope's surgery and extra stitches, cost £2500. Although it's half the price of Magic & Mai's largest claims. I hope she doesn't think it's a competition to rub up the biggest bills. Thank goodness for insurance!

Toddlerteaplease · 10/12/2024 18:08

She was lying on the sofa, looking very smug at all the money being spent on her.

Worth every penny and she knows it .

Toddlerteaplease · 11/12/2024 08:29

She's going first annual vaccinations tomorrow. And it's struck me that this will be the first time ever, that she had a routine appointment. With no other issues. (Touch wood!) Unfortunately her personal vet has decide that doing a heptathalon is more important than attending to pen. So we are seeing someone else.

OP posts:
Toddlerteaplease · 12/12/2024 12:15

FFS, Penelope just can't do a vet visit without more issues. The vet thinks she's got a respiratory infection because she was snuffling and blowing snot everywhere. Which is pretty normal for her! But she's got some antibiotics anyway!

OP posts:
Cailleach1 · 12/12/2024 12:32

You have to look at it in ‘a stitch in time, saves nine’, ‘nip it in the bud’ sort of way with the antibiotics for the suspected respiratory infection.

On the bright side, her vaccinations are done, and her eyes (which were a recurring problem) are giving her less trouble. She’s looking more comfortable overall.

Pixiedust1234 · 12/12/2024 12:36

You just had to jinx it, didn't you 😮

The stray is sneezing well and her breathing is on a par with a snore but since she's having zoomies every night perfectly okay and both me and DD are eating hayfever tablets like smarties I suspect she's also got a slight allergy rather than a RI. Get well soon Pen, Toddler is broke.

Toddlerteaplease · 12/12/2024 12:52

@Pixiedust1234 I knew I shouldn't have said anything. But having long experience of snuffly Persians, I'm not too concerned about it. She's now stopped it. (Of course)

Got the first dose of co amoxiclav down madam. I think it's banana flavoured like the human stuff. She came downstairs with froth all over her face. I don't think she liked it!

OP posts:
Pudmyboy · 12/12/2024 18:27

Aww just when Pen is getting used to a treatment -free life something else happens! Hope the course is short and doesn't have the common adverse effect on her bottom (trying to be coy: co-amoxiclav has an, ahem, laxative effect on me...tmi sorry!!)

Toddlerteaplease · 12/12/2024 18:37

@Pudmyboy I hope the same thing!! I don't think she's got an infection. It's Judy her tiny nose.

OP posts:
Toddlerteaplease · 12/12/2024 18:50

Mum hasn't spent any money on me for a while! So thought I'd just correct that oversight.
