New thread for the inmates of Toddler Towers. Strange to think, it's about two completely different cats, from the original
Thread. But Magic, Maia and Cheddar will never be forgotten.

They commented again how much healthier she feels. 🤔 I hope Penelope's appearance improves, at the minute she looks awful, her eyes are tiny and it doesn't suit her. But as long as it solves the problem, I don't really mind.

Not her prettiest!

Penelope must be psychic! I was going to take the teepee down!

Presumably her eyes will be smaller now, to enable her to protect them better?
Hopefully we’ll still be able to see the beautiful colour once they’re better healed.

Toddlerteaplease · 20/11/2024 15:53

I presume so. I really hope she gets her good looks back! I've only seen a picture of one other cat that's had it. And he looked the same afterwards as he did before.

Though her eyes were much bigger

How does she seem today?

Toddlerteaplease · 21/11/2024 23:12

She's eaten a lot!!!! Going to have to put her on a diet at this rate. Still using the teepee. I've brought her upstairs to bed. She still won't come up on her own. ☹️. Her face is beginning look a bit better.

I’m sure she will in time. She’s still recovering.

Pixiedust1234 · 21/11/2024 23:46

She needs to build her strength up, those stairs must be like climbing Everest with those little legs. Lots of food, treats and carry cuddles are purrfect for that, or so I'm told 😂

Floralnomad · 21/11/2024 23:51

Why walk upstairs when you have someone to carry you !

That puddy ain’t silly. Maybe unbeknownst to Toddler, Penelope is laying out how she expects things to work going forward.

Toddlerteaplease · 22/11/2024 08:40

She's been on the bed all night, woke up to her sitting on my chest. Had to move her because I had back ache and never to turn over. She made her displeasure clear!

Dotty was a much quieter cat than Pads, so it's taking her longer to realise she's not here.

Floralnomad · 22/11/2024 10:24

Has she made you carry her downstairs this morning ?

Toddlerteaplease · 22/11/2024 10:43

I just did!

OP posts:
Toddlerteaplease · 22/11/2024 10:43

She's now deco she can walk and has gone back up again. She's avoiding her eye drops

OP posts:
OccasionalHope · 22/11/2024 10:53

She’ll walk when she wants to and won’t when she would prefer a chauffeur.

SaturdayMorningRun · 22/11/2024 11:08

Ive just caught up on the thread, I’m sad but not at all surprised that yet another cat has had to be returned. Shit rescue and irresponsible humans. 😤 Hopefully both Paddington and Dotty will have better and forever homes next time. Poor babies.

Get over yourself , yes this is a shit rescue but up until very recently it was thought that Pen had always lived with other cats . Both Pads and Dotty thrived with@Toddlerteaplease and really it’s no different to her having fostered them . Ultimately it has made little difference to Pen and frankly had she not had the eye problem it may well have worked out with Dotty as initially they got on very well . Do you think it would have been better for Pads particularly to have sat in a cage instead of being with @Toddlerteaplease , as that was the option .

Talk about kicking someone when they are already down!!

She tried. She was told Pen liked female cats so she tried. It didn’t work. At least Dotty can have a chance of a good home too because of Toddler because now she looks better and they know all about her

Toddlerteaplease · 22/11/2024 13:49

Pads is apparently very happy with his new brother who he adores. And The rescue have commented 3 times how much better condition she is than when I took her home. I'm glad she had a month getting used to being in a house, rather than than stuck in a cage. And I also learned her true personality. Which turns out to be different from
What the rescue thought.

OP posts:
Toddlerteaplease · 22/11/2024 13:50

I think if Penelope's eye hadn't flared up, it would have been ok.

OP posts:
SoDoffYourHat · 22/11/2024 14:02

This isn't Toddler's fault. The rescue have taken advantage of Toddler's open heart when it comes to cats with a sad history, because they know Toddler will give a loving home and meet all their medical needs.
