Apparently the rescue have a perfect match for him.

But I've just been told if I adopt again, that I must not get them
Vaccinated again. I only had him done as they won't give one of them. (Can't remember which, as they think it causes cancer. No evidence of this) I did point out that he had a full set before pads went to them. Find the level of control a bit much.

The vaccination thing is very odd. Rescues usually encourage vaccinations for obvious reasons.

We had to return a kitten due to impact on our old lady. I was furious with myself. It was awful to see her fight him for her home and stop going in to rooms etc. Returning him was the right thing though it broke my heart. But not as much as keeping him would have done.

I'm in the spare room with Pen and she's climbing all over me!

Just shows how much happier she is with him not around.

@whenemmafallsinlove, that's exactly what we've had. I have to carry Penelope to bed with me. She has always slept on my pillow. And barely leaves the spare room.

You need to warn his new family that they have to maintain a thread on Mumsnet for his fans!

Unfortunately I do t think I'll get any idea who is new family are. I'm sending his about me sheet. But the letter I've written for his new family isn't allowed. As adoption shouldn't be about my sadness. Which is fair enough. But I want them to know he was loved.

So, I have a dilemma. The rescue have offered me another cat, who's a better fit for her ladyship. She's little, same age, completely submissive, loves other cats, and doesn't play. I was going to wait a bit. But they are keen for me to take her asap. She will apparently be fine in the spare room for a while.
She's come from a house with 16 cats. She is very cute. My only aim is to do what's right for her ladyship.

Have you had the chance to meet the little one? What is your gut feeling?

I'm going to meet her tomorrow. I was leaving towards waiting. But then they sent more pictures abs videos.

Apparently she's very deferential to other cats and lets them eat first. Arghh!!! I don't know what to do.

Arghh! I've psyched myself up for tomorrow. But now the rescue have decided to get the adopter to meet in my city when they come on Monday. Great idea in theory. But I'm on 12.5 hour shifts Monday and Tuesday, and they won't be free until 1030 Monday night. 😬

He's going to my friend tomorrow, who transported him in the first place. Then will be adopted on Monday. I think his adopters live not too far away. But no idea who they are. I asked if I could meet them. But apparently not.

I'm so sorry it hasn't worked out but you're doing the right thing for Pen. I think it's sad that your letter can't go with him, if we adopt again I would love to know about the cat's history and to know he was loved.

So sad for you, but hopefully both Pen and Pads will be happy.

I think his adoptee might be fairly local, so I'll try and do some digging. His bag of stuff is packed. 😰

Missed church, so I could have extra cuddles with Pads. It was worth it.
