Oooh. I wonder who will adopt him? I thought he might have been shaved due to matts in his coat, I didn't realise that was a 'lion cut'.

It would be amazing if you adopted him, but can you afford another one after all the expense of getting Penelope back to good health?

If he's been sorted out by the foster carer and rescue. And had a clean bill of health then yes. The problem with Pen is that because I fostered her, her ears became a pre existing condition. If I'd had her from
A different foster carer it wouldn't have counted.

Rescue lady said that three cats is a completely different ball game to two. And I only have two arms for when they both want fussing.

I have never had more than two.

@Scampuss I doubt it! Got to try and get the remaining stitches out of her mouth!

Apparently Poirot is already reserved. So dilemma solved.

Post nights and I've been edged out of my side of the bed.

I love that they sleep close to each other. It surprises me, as Cheddar and Magic never did. But Magic preferred to use her multiple beds. Whereas neither of them do now.

Perhaps Magic snored and got fed up of Cheddar elbowing her throughout the night and figured she'd get her own bed/room instead for some peace.

Penelope definitely looked like a long furry slug in that picture 😂

Just back from vets for a check up. Penelope's mouth is loads better and the stich seems to have gone. Just to give her another week of metacam. And cut down ear drops to twice weekly, then a weekly maintenance dose.

Cheddar has lost a bit more weight, but other than that, pretty much ok. She sometimes seems a bit uncomfortable with her back, but nothing serious. She's much more active than ever before, now she has Pen to keep in line! The vet has given me some tooth paste, ha ha ha

First dose of toothpaste given to Cheddar. She doesn't look to upset. The last one we tried was vanilla flavoured, and she hated it!

Vanilla flavoured toothpaste sounds vile even from a human perspective!

Exactly, no idea why it wasn't meat flavoured.

I agree with pp, vanilla toothpaste sounds yuck. Good luck getting near Penelope with it though, she'll probably think you are going to squirt it in her ear.

Hmm the furry grey slug is going to be a challenge, especially as she still needs another week of loxicim. And that is already a battle of wills. ( the last two nights, she's had it at 2am and 3am, as she's refusing bedtime cuddles.

I think Pen is feeling better, she came into the bathroom for Cheddar's morning fussing. And was waiting for me when I got out of the shower.
