I'm amazed that the first thread has filled up. So he's another thread about the inmates of Toddler Towers!

Sorry, I'm first! 😀

Pen's eye is much improved. Carry on with drips and see again next week. Happy for her to stay on the gabapentin, for longer as things are going well. Tough wood.

They really are the most beautiful pair of cats and I'm so happy things seem to be moving in the right direction. I am keeping everything crossed for you and enjoying reading their updates!

Toddlerteaplease · 07/06/2024 08:46

Can't find Penelope! She's taken to walking across the book case from her windowsill, to the other one. She has never done this ever! I'm away today and tomorrow and really stressed about leaving them. But I think my plan will work, and the cat sitter is coming in twice a day. So fingers crossed.

Current view. Penelope growled. He doesn't even react.

What a good boy he is, and they’re both so cute.

Toddlerteaplease · 07/06/2024 13:18

Oh for FFS the cat sitter has out gabapentin in Penelope's eye, instead of her drops. ( I left the Deidre drawn up ready. Either a note saying the eye drops are in the fridge) She realised and washed it out straight away. Spoke to vet, who thinks it should be ok. She feels terrible though.

Really??? That's clueless.

Soubriquet · 07/06/2024 14:11

Very clueless..

Toddlerteaplease · 07/06/2024 14:38

I'm not sure how I could have made it clearer. But it was a genuine error. And she feels terrible. And I've made drug errors in my career.

She realised immediately and washed her eye throughly. And at least she told me immediately.

Toddlerteaplease · 07/06/2024 22:19

Her eye appears to be ok. Phew.

Phew indeed.

Toddlerteaplease · 10/06/2024 20:55

It's looking cloudy again today. And she's squinting again. Think I might have to bring her appointment forward. She's being seen again on Wednesday. It's her 4th birthday tomorrow!

Penelope's eye ulcer is worse again. Not sure why. They e scraped it and got some more drops to encourage healing.

poor Pen

Toddlerteaplease · 12/06/2024 10:08

Paddington, do you have to be quite so messy?

OccasionalHope · 12/06/2024 10:09

Well he does have a slave to clear up after him,so why not?

Toddlerteaplease · 12/06/2024 11:37

Well he is only a toddler, maybe Penelope will teach him some table manners.

Toddlerteaplease · 12/06/2024 11:55

Paddington is becoming more vocal. He's got the strangest little chirrup noise. It's quite high pitched. I've been er heard a noise like it from a cat. I was watching him in my bedroom on the camera, and he was chatting to Penelope. (Who was unimpressed!) It's absolutely adorable!

Toddlerteaplease · 12/06/2024 11:55

I've never, that should say!

OP posts:
Soubriquet · 12/06/2024 13:34

Sounds so cute!!! Sorry about poor Pen though. Might be a drastic option but if it gets worse and carries on to the point where it affects her quality of life, would it be an idea to possibly get the eye removed?

Toddlerteaplease · 12/06/2024 14:01

@Soubriquet yes. That possibility is in my mind. She really won't cope with prolonged trips to the vet etc. she's not as bomb proof as my other girls. She sits on the scales shaking. So it may be the best option.

They do say animals adapt quickly to stuff like this
