I'm amazed that the first thread has filled up. So he's another thread about the inmates of Toddler Towers!

Mycroft, nickname Mike!

JoanOgden · 24/04/2024 21:17

Toddlerteaplease · 24/04/2024 21:06

Or Mycroft or Professor Moriarty?

These are brilliant names but for them to work he would need to be v clever, which is possibly unusual for Persians (sorry).

Toddlerteaplease · 24/04/2024 21:19

@JoanOgden that is actually a good point 😂

This may all be academic anyway. Ad I've run out of Sheba, so am unlikely to live until Friday!

Zomorph? As in sustained release morphine capsules? 🤔🤔🤔

Toddlerteaplease · 24/04/2024 22:22

@Daisymay2 yes. We have them at work and I've always liked the name. My colleagues reaction was "Oh God No"!

OP posts:
Anniegetyourgun · 24/04/2024 22:58

Could be a Noodle.

Daisymay2 · 24/04/2024 23:01

I’m with your colleague on that. Mind you, I snigger everytime I see someone in a Hollister tee shirt. Why would you wonder around advertising a colostomy bag?

Toddlerteaplease · 25/04/2024 01:12

@Daisymay2 I'd never thought of that one!! 🤣

You could go ancient Greek for names given that you already have Penelope.

Odysseus/Ulysses (husband of Penelope)
Zeus (gives you the zed sound from Zomorph)

Toddlerteaplease · 25/04/2024 10:04

Zeus is a good suggestion. Although it would absolutely be pronounced Zoose.
Could also be Sherlock, but I rescued a cat last summer and named him Sherlock. So not sure.

Just look at a pic of his paws. He's looks like he's got mittens on.....

Feel really guilty about possibly having this boy and not one that my usual rescue had lined up. Although who that cat is is unknown. It might not have been the one we originally thought. But I'm taking it as a sign that I found out about him, then got a call to pick up Cheddy's ashes.

He needs a home too. It is not lesser to give him a home. Also, goodness, you’ve done so much to rehabilitate the lives of the cats who’ve been lucky enough to have been rescued by you.

Laughing at Zeus. My mother used to go walking with a woman who had a Jack Russell called ‘Caesar’. He did take his name seriously, He used to boss our much larger Collie around.

Toddlerteaplease · 25/04/2024 11:05

It would be nice to have a cat that doesn't need to much rehabilitation. I'd hoped for that with Penelope but it didn't happen. I think a two year old might be better for her, although two cats pouncing on my legs in bed, might be a bit much! And at two and three. I hope we could have longer together this time.

Allergictoironing · 25/04/2024 11:16

He would be your first boy, wouldn't he? I do think he's probably the right one for you, got the "feeling" when Annie and I first saw the pic yesterday. He's a good age for Penelope, and they are similar colouring without being exactly the same which would be an added bonus.

And like your other cats to date, I love his face whereas I'm not normally into the brachicephalic look.

Toddlerteaplease · 25/04/2024 11:53

Yes first boy. Although my childhood cats were boys and my parents cat is a boy. All unbelievably soppy. I am told this one is shy but a total love bug

Toddlerteaplease · 25/04/2024 11:56

I also got 'the feeling' I've had it with all my others. Did t get it with either of the other cats this rescue has matched me with. Although both were lovely. Also had the feeling with the one my usual rescue sent, and if I was definitely getting that one, I'd have stopped looking. But discovering it might not be that one, changed things.

Breadcat24 · 25/04/2024 12:54

Could you do Magnum- because of the moustache and also a double hit as it is food?

Toddlerteaplease · 25/04/2024 13:53

Well my usual rescue have messaged to say the original cat is no longer coming.....

OP posts:
Breadcat24 · 25/04/2024 13:56

Did you nearly have 3? Lucky cats

Toddlerteaplease · 25/04/2024 13:57

No. But it was tempting!

My friend just suggested Parker, Lady Penelope's chauffeur. As a name. 🤣🤣🤣

OP posts:
Scampuss · 25/04/2024 16:36

Parker is a great name!

Toddlerteaplease · 25/04/2024 17:30

My sister is adamant that his name is Sir Theodore Goblin. 🤣🤣🙄🙄
