I'm amazed that the first thread has filled up. So he's another thread about the inmates of Toddler Towers!

I've just handed over my scared (of strangers) little stray to a rescue centre, and I had to check carefully he wasn't in one of your crates. Already miss him and his mega purrs 💔

Love Penelope and her astronaut photo!

Toddlerteaplease · 25/03/2024 17:53

@Pixiedust1234 hopefully he's on the way to his best life

@Toddlerteaplease , photos on this thread are so lovely. Penelope looks quite the whippersnapper keeping Cheddar on her fur muffled tootsies. That photo of Cheddar looking into the bath is precious. Along with the subsequent earnest look on her face as she is moved to issue you with a warning.

Toddlerteaplease · 25/03/2024 22:41

Cheddar is having a new lease of life. She's so active! Thundering around the house. I hope that's the reason she's lost weight!

They are going to the cattery this afternoon. Cheddar loves it. But imma bit nervous about Pen. She's still timid until she gets to know you. Hope she doesn't think she's being moved again.

Looking smug last night.

Are they in the same room at they Cattery?
hopefully she will see that Cheddar is happy and relax into it

SoDoffYourHat · 26/03/2024 12:03

If they are in the same enclosure or adjacent ones, Penelope will take her lead from Cheddar.

I hate how empty my house feels when the cats are in the cattery (we usually put them in the day before we go away). Also cannot comfortingly ascribe any odd noises in the night to 'the cats'!

Toddlerteaplease · 26/03/2024 12:14

Yes. They will be in the same pen. They are really large. Hopefully they'll have a view of the chickens and ducks. It's an excellent cattery so I have no worries about the care they will get. I agree with how empty the house feels. It's horrible. But I'm looking forward to four nights of uninterrupted sleep. Although to be fair, Penelope just curls up quietly and takes over half the bed. It's Cheddar who doesn't sit still.

They really do make the house feel like a home don’t they. My DC are usually quite upset when there are no cats about.
Although Eko, who is entirely motivated by his tummy, last time he was at our wonderful Cattery, he had no exercise and got rather fat(ter). When he came out of the carrier when we got home, cue much wailing from the DC as they ‘wanted old Eko back’ as he was so fat 🤣🤣🤣

Toddlerteaplease · 26/03/2024 16:16

Penelope has retreated to the litter tray. They are very quiet, so their servant is going to sit with her and get some photos. Cheddar has not lost any more weight. So that's a relief

The house is so quiet. Penelope seems to have settled well, the cattery lady has been allowed to pick her up. I'm really impressed!

They made sure Penelope was settled in bed rather than in the litter tray before they went home. 😻😻

They sound very caring cattery owners, no wonder Cheddar likes them.

Toddlerteaplease · 28/03/2024 19:17

@Ellmau they really are fantastic. Magic & Maia were absolutely adored by one of the previous staff. I think they preferred her over me!

Cheddar has apparently been helping the cattery lady with her crossword. I love that she was clearly sitting in her pen doing it with her. Apparently Pen is sulking today. (Ear drop day)

Ooh, is there a cat cam at their cattery?

Toddlerteaplease · 29/03/2024 21:24

Awwww 😍

Toddlerteaplease · 03/04/2024 22:34

She came for a bathroom visit, and she let me pick her up and give her a really long cuddle. She seems to be more relaxed there, as she sees cheddar demanding a cuddle, and the drops are nowhere near!

Positively angelic Halo

Toddlerteaplease · 04/04/2024 12:22

We had first tummy tickled this morning. She was trying to chew my hand, and absolutely purring her little head off. She likes to hold my hand. I was watching Tv last night and unconsciously wiggling my feet, she was trying to catch my toes. It's adorable. She is very gentle and never scratches.

OP posts:
Toddlerteaplease · 04/04/2024 12:23

Will try her with some teaser toys, she's ignored all toys before. But she's definitely more relaxed.
