I hate her feeling left out so I always get her something, does anyone else do this?

Yes of course. And they get gifts for us as well (but they aren't thoughtful so it's usually a tin of tuna or a small toy mouse for us to play with)

Better than the gifts my cat brings me all year round.

She thinks I'm incapable of hunting for myself. 🤢

I am getting my little rescue cat on Wednesday and I have already set up toys everywhere but I might get her another present to give her on Christmas Day...

louderthan · 16/12/2023 11:13

My last cat had a stocking with her name on it. Second Christmas without her and I finally feel ready to have another one.

Mine have bought a 'make your own cat treats' kit for the human child, how very thoughtful of them.

Dcat has always just assumed the Christmas tree is for her.

I've never had the heart to tell her otherwise.

This. I'll probably take DC to pets at home next week to choose something the cats will probably ignore anyway.

My child has put some treats and toys on the list for Santa for our cats so I will be from Santa

Orangelover · 16/12/2023 12:24

Yes of course. Usually a new toy as he's a super playful little cat - always plays with the stuff I get him so I don't feel it's wasted. And a nice tuna loin from pets at home.

He even had an advent calendar last year with cat treats in Blush

MrsSkylerWhite · 16/12/2023 12:25

have this year, a laser toy they can all share. Make them Christmas dinner, too. One of them loves carrot and swede mash 😁

alliscalmish · 16/12/2023 12:25

Of course! The DC have made Dcat a stocking with treats and toys.

iljafjpr · 16/12/2023 12:45

They get a stocking each with their favourite treats, a tin of their favourite special treat food, some very small toys that need replacing (such as balls, mice, springs) and sometimes one larger toy/activity centre/scratching post/puzzle feeder.

She’s getting a new fluffy bed, a banana catnip toy, and a heating pad. I tried to get her interested in playing with tinsel but she was terrified of it.

That’s probably just as well, if she ate some you’d have big problems!

Mine have tried very hard to reach the exciting shiny tinsel but so far haven’t managed.

Our boycat is a sweetie with me and DD. He’s a little sod with DH and DS though and will swipe/ bite them given half a chance. I asked DH what he thought we should get boycat for Xmas and he suggested a clip round the ear 🤣.

My last boy got separated from his family jewels on Christmas Eve, I don't think he ever forgave me.

I spent an hour building a cat tree this weekend...another present for my rescue cat who is coming home on Wednesday.

Jackfrostnippingatmynose · 18/12/2023 16:25

Dcats have asked Father Xmas for tinned tuna and sardines. He's also got Dcat1 a packet of dental treats, Dcat2 has a new pingpong ball, Dcat3 has a new collar.
Their names also get added to Christmas cards to friends with pets 🐾

TooShortToReachThatShelf · 18/12/2023 16:27

I used to always buy ur cats a present (sadly, we haven't had a cat for over a year now), but I buy a present for the Grandcats (3 of them) and the Granddog Xmas Grin
