Yes one of those self heating blankets that was mentioned on here in the black friday sales. Will also get her some treats. It's her first Christmas and my dd is rather excited for dcat 😁

We don't as a rule but some years we do. We've just got them a new cat tree as their old one badly needed replacing. They're also getting a couple of bags of treats (dreamies being one!). Might also get a toy.
Now we have a child, it's also for him as much as them. I was always excited that Father Christmas left some gifts in stockings for my childhood dogs and cat!

Bbq1 · 05/12/2023 07:52

She has her own stocking made for cats. There's a slot for her photo. I fill it with about 4 gifts. This year she has a catnip toy, Holly on a string toy, a cat cracker abd I'll get some Dreamies.

My two have a self heating blanket & at least one of them is always on it.

But of course 🤷🏻‍♀️

This year they have got a cat tree, which might be put up early 😸

purdypuma · 15/12/2023 18:04

Milly (her ladyship) has a tin of turkey flavoured cat food, a dreamies Christmas stocking, a new scratching post & her own stocking that I'll fill with random treats & new cat toys. Just a bit of a a spoilt bratcat.

Oldraver · 15/12/2023 18:10

Well yes, and they have a stocking

Of course. And all the pets in different parts of the family exchange presents.

This has made me smile

We don't have a cat .....so we buy one for next doors cat instead!

He spends lots of time here when the neighbours are not around so it would be rude not to

I once popped a card and present through the door of our Col's best mate across the road, from Vol of course

AvengedQuince · 15/12/2023 18:12

They are getting a new cardboard scratching house. They have destroyed last year's toy.

msbevvy · 15/12/2023 18:15

I have been known to buy not only my own but other people's cats Christmas presents. I don't even exchange presents with DH.

Dcat has a new bowl on a stand as he's an OAP and can't crouch so easily.

He'll get the greasy bits from the chicken as well (we're doing capon not turkey). He's also got a new nip toy which he'll ignore!

Of course, a new toy, a new collar and plenty of treats. I even wrap the presents 😂

bombastix · 15/12/2023 19:14

No. But he does get a spot of the Christmas roast with gravy. Happy Christmas cat!

whatisforteamum · 15/12/2023 19:16

Our old family cat used to rip the paper off her treats stocking each yr.
Now she is no longer here we gave in and got a kitten.
He will get plenty as our adult dcs are cat mad too.
He is very much one of the family.

bengalcat · 15/12/2023 19:18

Her face! "Mother, what the feck is dis?"

Am I the only one with a cat that won't touch 'human' food? Had my boy nearly 4 years. Not interested in prawns, salmon, tuna (tinned or fresh) or even chicken. Used to have a local cat that would swipe chicken off the bench in summer when the door was open. The only thing my lad likes is the froth off the top of a cappuccino.

My, now sadly departed, old girl never showed an interest in any people food that you would expect cats to like (tuna, chicken etc) but loved spicy Doritos, broccoli and cheese and crackers. I thought she would learn the error of her ways the year she pinched a cracker that was liberally spread with chilli jam but she happily wolfed it down.

The new small over lords will find a selection of snacks and toys beneath the tree on Christmas morning (assuming it's still standing come Christmas day - it's going up tomorrow but I'm not confident that it will survive the attention of Chaos and Mayhem (aka Perkin and Jasper).

mummymayhem18 · 15/12/2023 20:41

I always buy my cat posher food for the 2 main days and I do buy a catnip soft toy and some treats. She has had an advent calendar previous years.

SomeoneYouLoved · 15/12/2023 20:46

New collars, toys and treats, and they insist on treating me too, so lucky old me gets 3 extra gifts.

ImDreamingOfANonCisChristmas · 16/12/2023 08:13

My cats do Secret Santa between them. There is only two of them so not that secret Grin (a Door frame hanging toy and some favourite mice toys, in case you want to know what they chose for each other)

They actually spent more on each other than we do in the Family Secret Santa...

SgtJuneAckland · 16/12/2023 08:16

Yes! Advent calendar, stocking and a present

Natty83 · 16/12/2023 08:53

Yes of course. And they get gifts for us as well (but they aren't thoughtful so it's usually a tin of tuna or a small toy mouse for us to play with)
