Missing Cat

CatMom05 · 13/05/2023 19:24

My 5 year old cat went missing last night - it’s been over 24 hours now which is really out of character for her.

She is now an indoor cat due to some strange happenings in my area (rural) however used to be outdoor.

Is she likely to return or do you think something bad has happened to her, being in the sticks and all. 😭😭😭

I found that my girl wasn't eating, because she wasn't hungry because she was being tube fed. I stopped the mill and just gave her water and that did the trick.

She's been very greedy the last 2 days, she's been tube fed and had lots of chicken and dreamiest! She's back home now, not eaten anything yet but had some treats before she left! I was putting it down to the fact she was being tube fed that she wasn't eating - she does it with me, I'll bring her some chicken home after I've gone for a carvery and put it in-front of her (she doesn't touch it) I pick it up and physically feed it to her and she munches the lot! Lazy puss cat 😂🥰

Well, welcome home baby girl 💕you get comfy on your bed! You might consider letting mum share if she treats you like the royalty you obviously are!!

Big Smooches,

I'm really sorry to hear about your cat and your dad, that must have been a horrible time for you! I'm very lucky to still have both of my parents with me, however, I do know what it is like to loose a cat, before Tink I had a cat called Prince who was unfortunately ran over, it was so devastating, he himself was like a human and would wait for me at the top of the stairs when I was coming through the door and run downstairs when I entered😌sending you lots of love and hugs from both me and Tink! 🥰💗

Cheddar does that. Is an absolute pain in the posterior, begging for tit bits. But won't eat it. Until I hand feed it to the little madam. Good job she's cute!

From the look on her face it is all your fault! I'm really pleased she's home.

You'd think wouldn't you haha😂me too! Thankyou 🥹

Oh I'm so glad she's home! My boy is about to be put on a feeding tube, he had surgery for a blockage to his stomach last night and hasn't eaten since Monday. He's also a big cat (9.8kg - the diet will be starting once he's recovered) so the vet has the same concerns as yours.

TheDogIsMeowingAgain · 20/05/2023 16:55

Yay. So glad she’s home OP. What a relief for you. Sending Tink belly rubs and lots of love. 🐱 🐾 ❤️

I don't know which bit of her I like better - those stunning eyes or that fluffy tum!

So pleased she's back home with you and looking so much better :)

Oh no, bless him! I'm so sorry to hear this! I hope everything goes well with the op and that he has a speedy recovery💙they seem to take the feeding tube very well, it looks very daunting at first but it is a miracle worker...

... My Tink is now a little bit lazy in the eating department as she is used to people doing it for her, she's eating (but all the things she shouldn't be and little amounts of the things she should)!🤦🏼‍♀️💗

It was so nice this morning waking up to her scratching the bed (even though that's a big no, no). It's just something I've been missing whilst she's been gone. I'm absolutely over the moon😌💗

If she didn't hate me and blame me before - she definitely is hating me now, I've started her medication this morning and had syringe it to her. Daggers for me for the next 3 days😂😭

Not being biased but she is a very pretty kitty😌😍her eyes look as though she has eyeliner on, as for her belly! She loves a belly rub more so now she's bald😍😊

Me too, Thankyou so much! She's getting there slowly!🥹

(Photo was before she was poorly).

That is a very imperious looking cat!

Whydoineedaname · 23/05/2023 18:23

If you don’t mind me asking, how much did it all roughly cost in the end? I do have insurance for my cats but a bit clueless on prices. So glad she’s on the mend :) 🥰

Not a problem at all, she ended up costing just over £1000, to be honest though she had 3X fluid bag, scans, 2X bloods, 5 days overnight, feeding tube with feeds, initial consultation, lots of antibiotics so I can't really complain! Plus she's worth it💗

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 23/05/2023 18:41

It would be cheap at twice the price.

Thank you so much! Actually that’s a lot less than I thought. Totally worth it, she’s beautiful 🥰

HonorHiding · 23/05/2023 18:53

So pleased she’s back and recovering! I know it’s agony when they go missing. Lots of love and Dreamies to your pretty girl.🐈
