Now it's her turn to cause issues. She's always been a sucky cat but had it under control with a change of food etc. She's been sick about 6 times this week. Which is unusual. She's completely fine in her self. Full of beans and eating and drinking as normal. If she was at all unwell I'd be straight at the vet. But she's not. Any suggestions on over the counter stuff to help?

Forgot pic. She was seen at the vet for a scans and polish last Monday and nothing picked up then.

A bit of this on my cats food has helped settle his tummy.

Plain boiled chicken works with mine.

SaggyOldClothDog · 19/02/2023 17:12

Our old girl went through about a week of vomitting on a daily basis but was otherwise fine in herself (she also had a history of being randomly sick on occasion). We did take her to the vets and she was diagnosed with kidney disease (they checked her thyroid levels too but she'd already had that irradiated!). If the pattern of vomitting has changed, it might be worth getting her checked out.

Doubt she'll eat it. She's not hugely keen on chicken.

@SaggyOldClothDog oh no. I hope it's not that. I declined bloods before her dental
As well.

I've ordered some of those sachets. And if it's no better buy the end of the week, I'll pop her back to the vet. She only had a health check 3 weeks ago. 😬

I've been letting her out in the garden again now the weather is better. Wonder if she's been eating plants or something.

Mine likes the sainsburys basic frozen white fish fillets and I gently steam them for him.
Blimey writing that makes him sound spoilt which is good because he is 😊

Sunshineandrainbow · 19/02/2023 19:27

Another good digestive aid is slippery elm.

Toddlerteaplease · 19/02/2023 19:35

One of them, almost certainly Cheddar has had loose stools on and off for a while. But that seems to have settled. I probably feed them too much cat soup as they gang up and bully me.

She's not keen on meat titbits. She wants bread and pasta. She seems to be intolerant of cereal.

She wants bread and pasta

She's my kind of girl 😁

How about a little scrambled egg? Without butter or milk.

Toddlerteaplease · 19/02/2023 20:44

That's a good idea. I'll get some eggs. Magic says that as she's currently an invalid, she should also have scrambled egg.

ComeTheFckOnBridget · 19/02/2023 20:45

Magic definitely deserves scrambled egg. Brave girl!

Are you sure she’s a cat?

I get practically mugged by my cat when I have any form of meat

Pixiedust1234 · 19/02/2023 20:49

The weather is warming up (I've seen a couple 9f bumble bees already) which usually means the start of the winter moult. Try some furball remedies as she might have a little blockage that needs "greasing".

Toddlerteaplease · 19/02/2023 21:28

@Soubriquet nope, not at all sure! She is interested in all human food but rarely eats anything offered. Unless hand fed. 🙄

@Pixiedust1234 I think the warmer weather has cured her aches and pains. She's back to standing on her back legs demanding to be picked up. And is very in my face. At all hours of the day. And nights😬

She sounds adorable. Demanding but adorable (and I love seeing the kitty pictures 😍)

Clarich007 · 19/02/2023 23:31

Oh Cheddar, worrying your mum.
Hope she ok.
How is Snorg?... been thinking about her

Toddlerteaplease · 20/02/2023 06:12

@Pixiedust1234 she is absolutely adorable, really lovely personality. But she can be a bit full on at times.
Magic is doing absolutely fine.

She had her paws on the edge of the bath. Demanding cuddles and wanting to know why I was getting rained on. But then has vomited again. So vets tomorrow!

Toddlerteaplease · 20/02/2023 10:25

Booked a vet appointment for tomorrow. If her previous behaviour is anything to go by. She will stage a miraculous recovery as soon as I've shelled out!

Got some Omeprazole for Cheddar to see if that settles her tummy.
