Ours does, she sounds like Danny Dyer.

I realise I'm a bit weird, but anyone else??

DominoRules · 21/12/2022 16:07

Yes she does, as does the dog and they sometimes argue

lunathestral · 21/12/2022 16:08

yes of course. he sounds a little bit like Julian Clary

PaperwhiteTheGhost · 21/12/2022 16:09

Mine is a 50 year old Russian woman. She calls DP Mr Adam and me Voman

VioletLemon · 21/12/2022 16:10

We don't have a cat but our dogs have voices! Have never met anyone else who does this!!

kingofchaos · 21/12/2022 16:21

I think I chat with my cat more than my kids!

OP posts:
Fundays12 · 21/12/2022 16:25

Yep definitely. DH informed me earlier I had told the cats of in the same manner as I tell the kids off. They were fighting under my Christmas tree and I could hear a bauble crack so they both got told to go to behave. They stopped fighting and did behave themselves lol. The kids tend to ignore me so at least someone listens to me 😂

Mmmmdanone · 21/12/2022 16:35

My dog has a voice. My daughter does it really well and I find myself having conversations with the dog (played by my daughter 🤣🤣🤣).

pinneddownbytabbies · 21/12/2022 16:37

Yes, we have four and they all have different voices. Easy to tell apart, and the little fluffy one is as squeaky as you would expect from her appearance.

marcopront · 21/12/2022 16:55

I'm not sure about a voice but ours is convinced we want to kill her. She thinks the sofa and the bicycle want to kill her as well though.

kingofchaos · 21/12/2022 17:00

@marcopront yes!

Our cat thinks the vacuum cleaner is out to get her.. in fact anything that makes a loud noise is known as 'The Big Boomer'

Our dog does, it’s very enthusiastic as he’s a big, soppy Labrador.

Clarabe1 · 21/12/2022 17:08

Of course he has a voice. He is a working class cat but he has pretensions of being an upper middle class cat. When the local thug cats threaten him he forgets his put on accent and turns back into Reggie Kray.

MotherOfCatBoy · 21/12/2022 17:17

Yup. One is an East End bruiser, one is a nervous loner, and the other one is generally vocal until he gets what he wants, to the point of singing songs of complaint just before supper.

I’m glad it’s not just our house that does this!

petermaddog · 21/12/2022 17:30

he says no no no

Lummikukka · 21/12/2022 17:38

Hmmm I usually give friends' pets voices, but have never given my own cat one.

I think it's because she's so insanely noisy with different yowls and mrrrrps and mmmmss that I haven't had the space to imagine a voice for her.

anythinginapinch · 21/12/2022 17:44

My DDog used to telephone myDC when we were away on holiday and the dog was in kennels. If I make the special "ring" tone of her calling my DC as adults still flush with delight and say "oh it's DDog calling on the DDog phone".

Same here! My cat never shuts up long enough for me to imagine another voice!

BamBamBilla · 21/12/2022 17:55

Yes she squeaks like a mouse

JamSandle · 21/12/2022 17:56

Mine is a saccharine sweet squeaker. I think in a past life she was (ironically) a mouse.

EarthlyNightshade · 21/12/2022 17:57

Mine is very posh. He rarely speaks and when he does, it's just to complain.
He's so lovely and friendly all the time, it's quite shocking that he has this other (made up by us) persona.

kingofchaos · 21/12/2022 18:00

My cat phones the Cats Protection League if she isn't getting exactly what she wants, always citing 'intolerable cruelty'
