Ours does, she sounds like Danny Dyer.

I realise I'm a bit weird, but anyone else??

Dcat has the voice of Kaley Cuoco from TBBT, down to the whiny 'Leonardddd'

Beamur · 21/12/2022 18:26

My orientals sound like Sara Cox.
Chunky cat is Yorkshire with a hint of French, he's also exceptionally polite.
Fluffy one sounds like Galadriel. She's scary..

LaQuern · 21/12/2022 19:03

Yes she sounds like she's from Downton Abbey.

Calls us Mother and Father. Is incredibly innocent... 'What does A Shitty Day mean, father?'

Leafytrees · 21/12/2022 19:11

Yes. She speaks cat-human pidgin though, not English.

Thecrackineverything · 21/12/2022 19:29

Our cats speak in French accents. I thought this was standard.

JoanOgden · 21/12/2022 19:48

My cat is very very familiar with the European Convention on Cats' Rights and can regularly be found calling their advice line when I won't give her a fourth dinnerShock. Her tone of voice is steely and implacable

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/12/2022 20:48

The Bengal had a sweet little boys voice. He swore a lot though which I blamed on dh.

Beautiful moggy girl doesn’t have a voice.

MrsMoastyToasty · 21/12/2022 20:54

Moasty Girl Cat speaks like Barbara Windsor and Moasty Boy Cat speaks like Frank Bruno. Especially when they're laughing at us.

Chesneyhawkes1 · 21/12/2022 21:01

My 3 dogs all have voices 😊 they make little talking pet videos 🤦‍♀️

Beansontoast45 · 21/12/2022 21:03

One of our dogs has the attitude and voice of a moody teenage boy. The other dog has a lisp🙈

RagingWoke · 21/12/2022 21:06

2 cats, 2 distinct voices. One is a kind of ditsy, confused softy and the other a demanding, shouty diva.

They also have very distinct actual voices- ditsy cat kind of meeps and quacks and shouty cat bleets. Both have learned a kind of 'maaaam' sound that sounds like the dc calling for me... it's bizarre and kind of unnerving.

allabitmadtbf · 21/12/2022 21:10

Our dogs all have different voices. Some based on where they came from some on their personalities. Someone asked about one of ours recently while out walking and I answered in the dogs voice. DP was mortified..

Idbetternamechange · 21/12/2022 21:13

Wait, your cat only has one voice???

Allmarbleslost · 21/12/2022 21:15

Yes! I have regular conversations with my 3. The 3 of them all have the same voice funnily enough. My children think I'm completely insane.

I rang the cattery and said it was Bertie’s mommy. Dh literally had his head in his hands.

HotSauceCommittee · 21/12/2022 21:17

One of mine kind of bubbles when she speaks. I am having a hard time giving that a voice.

celandiney · 21/12/2022 21:30

OMG, what a relief ! We didn't realise our cat had a voice til my sister visited from the US...and thought it was only our cat,and a bit weird.
She ( the cat,not my DSis...) has quite a lot to say but sometimes there is confusion between what I know she is saying, and what DS thinks she is saying Smile. That Boy gets confused, hehe.
My sister's cat apparently texts people as well as talking a lot. It now annoys my Sis very much...

Clarice99 · 21/12/2022 21:47

My Oriental cats sing in harmony.

They also put demands on me to do things to please them by shouting 'eh eh eh'.

Eh eh = feed me

Eh eh eh = give me fuss/stroke me/scratch my chin

I talk to them more than I talk to anyone else. They talk back to me all of the time. Our conversations are so insightful 😁

My dog has a voice. My daughter does it really well and I find myself having conversations with the dog (played by my daughter 🤣🤣🤣).

My parents have always done this with our cats! I really miss mine having a voice, as I can't do it as well. And I'd just be talking to myself.

kingofchaos · 21/12/2022 22:43

My mum used to speak for my hamster.

I had no hope of being a fruit loop! Grin

@kikingofchaos no not weird at all! Our bubba cat has a voice too and the most adorable meow! so cute! X

WetBandits · 21/12/2022 22:48

Haha, yep.

I have three:

• Owen Wilson (walks around saying ‘woooow!’)
• A tiny foghorn
• A gargling Frenchman

PatChaunceysFruitCake · 21/12/2022 22:51

Of course they do. One sounds like Ray Winstone, the other is Scottish.

Interestingly, the dog doesn't have a voice. He manages to convey all meaning through raising and lowering his spaniel ears.

cheeseislife8 · 21/12/2022 22:58

Mine too! Girl cat sounds like a posh older woman and boy cat has a dopey eeyore type voice (he's lazy). Girl cat complains a lot about the speed of meal service.

They text my Mum to tell on us when we've dropped the ball butler-wise, as Granny always has their back!
