Should I rename?

We adopted a beautiful boy this week (our first cat so I'll probably be back for more advice). He's an ex stud, in the loosest terms as he had undescended testicles, he's called Frank but there's no reaction to his name at all.
We're not set on Frank mostly because it was my grandad's name and also because everyone keeps forgetting his name so it doesn't feel like it 'fits' if that makes sense?
So first question is should we rename him? His GCCF name does have Frank in it but we won't be showing him and he's neutered.

Second question is what would you call him?

Call him “Pugh” because he looks like he has no eyes.

I think he suits Frank too!

I think he looks like a Malcom but Zorro is much more glamorous!

He is stunning by the way.

I think he's Bruce!

I like Frank(ie) but otherwise Winston. He has a certain stout Churchillian look about him.

Oh he’s lovely! I agree with all the others who say he looks like a Frank. Maybe he will respond to Frankie if what the pp says about cats liking the ‘ee’ sound is true.

Also, in my experience whatever your cat’s name is it won’t be long before he has a whole host of alternative aliases - Frank will become Frankybobs which will become Bobadob which will become Poppadom etc and before you know it he’ll have 10 nicknames and nobody will ever actually call him Frank anymore.

He won't care if you change his name. Years ago I adopted two 8 year old cats with awful names and changed them. They didn't care and were coming when new names were called in no time.
