How are you and Cap'n this morning Lana? Your vet is an absolute disgrace, there should be an emergency number if you call out of hours and they should never make an animal in that much distress wait for a standard scheduled appointment! Angry

Are they part of a chain? If not, try someone like a local Medivet who should have emergency cover available at all times.

coastergirl · 16/04/2022 10:18

Oh gosh I missed all this. Hope Cap'n is more settled today Lana. Sending love.

Supersimkin2 · 16/04/2022 10:54

Pets at home is2 doors up!genius idea

He’s better this am, mewed for breakfast, made it to tray.

Off to pets at home in a mo.

HouseofHolbein · 16/04/2022 11:10

Honestly I picked pets at home as our vets based on their opening hours and I have found them absolutely brilliant. Prices seem reasonable they are open shop hours and have an out of hours too. They fuss over my girls like they are the only cats they have ever seen 😂😂

Really hope you get a good experience with them too

Papergirl1968 · 16/04/2022 11:12

That's useful to know about Pets At Home, thanks, HouseofHolbein.
Glad Cap'n seems a bit better. Let us know what they say, Lana x

HouseofHolbein · 16/04/2022 11:17

They are franchises so independent vets inside the stores so obviously it depends what the individual ones are like but I’ve been happy

Supersimkin2 · 16/04/2022 14:20

Well, thanks House cos turns out there’s a vet in Wimbledon I can call on Tuesday.

We are currently sunbathing after rejecting 3rd breakfast but no more poonami

HouseofHolbein · 16/04/2022 14:44

Thank goodness. I’m at work and I’ve been worrying about you both 💕

Supersimkin2 · 16/04/2022 22:51

Glorious picture of Cap'n.

Happy Easter everyone

Happy Easter everybody.
Following yesterday's Easter truce between Sybil and TC, even Lenny seems fairly relaxed with Stripes today.

Happy easter everyone. I have discovered some chocolate in the back of the cupboard from 2016, which tastes fine so I'm eating it! The pets have a barely touched battered fish from the chippy, donated by DM. So we're all happy!

Supersimkin2 · 17/04/2022 15:04

I’ve just got shot of 51 Easter Nests, skipful of hot cross buns and a mega tiffin cake, all handmade in a smoke- and pet-filled kitchen, ably assisted by Messrs M&S. Dished out the teas and coffees as well at charity Easter church - turned out poor vicar had been dumped with the service and the catering for the seasonal rush single handed. Lady vicar, quel surprise.

Got first go on the kids’ eggs as a thank you Grin

Vodka with a creme egg makes the best Easter lunch. Capns got ham.

Allergictoironing · 17/04/2022 16:03

I have the remains of a large (48) box of Creme Eggs, which I purchased about 3 weeks ago. Desperately trying not to eat loads every day.

Just had cheese & herby biscuits for a snack lunch, & dropped a sliver of cheese on the floor by mistake. Girlcat came over, sniffed at it, and GLARED at me for trying to poison her before stalking off in a huff. Boycat ignored it completely, didn't even have a sniff. I thought cats were supposed to like cheese?

Supersimkin2 · 17/04/2022 16:51

48?! Where do you get such a perfectly sized box!! Must send off at once before they stop selling them.

Papergirl1968 · 17/04/2022 17:13

Who knew you could get easter eggs for cats? Matt and Socks are feeling very deprived.

Amazon, just under £20 for the box of 48 Grin

YesItsMeIDontCare · 18/04/2022 14:16

I've missed a lot 😱

How is everyone today?

Defiantly41 · 18/04/2022 14:19

DCat1 still poorly, struggling to eat. Back to the V.E.T. I think
DCat2 improving and has mastered the new cat flap at last (after ignoring it for a week, you wouldn't think she had happily used one for 15 years in previous house)

All enjoying the sunny weather!

YesItsMeIDontCare · 18/04/2022 14:31

Any idea what the problem is Defiantly? Sending (((hugs)))

Leroy's off his meaty, but that's just 'cause he's suddenly got very fine mouthed since officially becoming a Senior Cat 🙄

Defiantly41 · 18/04/2022 15:30

@YesItsMeIDontCare vet thought pancreatitis (seemingly confirmed by blood results), thought we were on the mend so weaned off drugs but have had a bit of a relapse over the weekend. Next step an ultrasound i think

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/04/2022 16:55

Poor Dcat1. It’s so hard watching them suffer.
