I think dh is coming home tm so Puddy can resume ignoring him and putting her back down whenever he goes to fuss her “eeeww, your not food lady”

Good news Fluffy.

Dh didn’t come home. He’s having surgery early tomorrow so I won’t be able to see him before he goes in.

I’ve told Puddy and she’s offered to eat his tinned salmon for him. She’s so stoical. Real blitz spirit.

Aww, Fluffy. You must be so worried, even if Puddy isn't. I hope all goes well.
Is Paws spending another night at yours, MrO? You need to start charging him for b&b.

Puddys gone under the bed now. She’s such a brick. She’ll be back out at dreamie time.

Socks always appears for her Dreamies when I go to bed. Then walks over me a few times while I'm trying to read before snuggling down beside me purring..

Got to keep in with the dreamie source.

Massive good luck for DH Fluffy. Try and get some sleep but don’t panic if you don’t cos he’ll be out of it tomorrow and won’t notice.

He’s alive and responsive. Can’t talk due to tracheotomy. Surgeon sounds knackered. He must’ve been in there nearly 5 hours.

Appols to all his afternoon clinic patients who got the “clinics been cancelled” phone call.

Gosh this sounds like it was major Fluffy. Sending positive thoughts to you, Mr Fluffy and of course Puddy.

I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight, Fluffy. You probably didn't get much last night.

That’s excellent news. You must be so relieved. Surgeon well pleased with herself I have no doubt. Was it the one you wanted?

Try and get a bit of a kip in through the rumbling snores of Puddy. And a nice snack.

Phew.

No it wasn’t the one we wanted but he did it and he’s alive. The surgeon will ring me again tomorrow, he isn’t sure if I’ll be allowed to visit the ward due to covid.

Puddy will be glad not to be an emotional support cat anymore. Also dh dishes out more dreamies than me. He doesn’t have the Scottish frugality gene like I do.

Liking sound of this surgeon. As long as his anesthetist wasn’t stretchered out to the pub job’s a good’un. Yes, that is a medical benchmark.

It is tiring cos you’re on your feet for hours, unlike everyone else who can take breaks or do Soduko (I’m looking at you anesthetist friend. He’s winning a holiday shortly).

That sounds really serious and stressful, Fluffy. All the best to Mr Fluffy and I hope you are doing ok.
