My tiny, beautiful one year old kitty was killed by a car

She was found at 3am today by the police.

Her brother is walking around the house looking for her.

I don't know what to say here, I just feel so devastated and sad, I can't believe she's gone. I'm so sad that her brother has lost his litter mate and friend. They used to sleep together and groom each other.

How awful, I’m so sorry for your loss. She looked like a beautiful cat. I have no experience with cats myself but as a dog owner I can imagine how you must feel. I hope your other cat will be OK.

I have 2 just over 1 years olds (and a 14 year old) and I would be beyond devastated if we lost any of them

Oh I’m so sorry. We lost our girl cat this way about 5 years ago and it was devastating. Her brother looked for her for the way you’ve described and it broke my heart. He did adapt more quickly than we expected which was a relief.

I'm so sorry lovely. This happened to me just over a year ago and it's absolutely heart breaking. RIP little one.

I still feel super sad for my remaining DC but she's coming through it and has adapted remarkably well which I hope gives you some hope.

I’m so sorry, we had our 12 year old cat put to sleep last week due to illness and they leave such a void behind. Her brother has been getting extra fuss and cuddles bless him. They didn’t groom or cuddle up with each other though so he doesn’t seem as affected by her loss.

I am so sorry OP Flowers what an absolute beaut she was.
I’ve had 4 cats and lost 3 to the road. 2 of them were brothers, one died at 8 months and his brother was killed 4 months later at the exact same spot on the road behind our house. It was devastating and I cried for months and months, they were just babies.

I am so sorry to hear about your beautiful cat.
I had 2 sisters and one passed away. Her sister seemed lost for a few weeks, but seems happier now.
I send you my best wishes; that feeling of loss is devastating.

It's good to know that your bereaved kitties adapted quickly.

We do have an older cat but she hated the kittens (that's a whole different story) and hisses at them. Sadly the kitten she tolerated the most is the one that's died.
