My tiny, beautiful one year old kitty was killed by a car

She was found at 3am today by the police.

Her brother is walking around the house looking for her.

I don't know what to say here, I just feel so devastated and sad, I can't believe she's gone. I'm so sad that her brother has lost his litter mate and friend. They used to sleep together and groom each other.

@Lemonlady22 I'm so sorry about your lovely boy. It's awful isn't it?

ThanksThanksThanks for all of you who have lost precious kitties (or other pets).

I can't stop crying, last night and this morning I've felt dreadful.

I feel so upset that I didn't know it was advisable to keep cats in at night. If I'd known she'd still be here.

Hi @LittleGreyFluffyCat I am on your other thread. I lost my lovely tabby boy this way at night as well. His sister grieved for 3 weeks and it was horrid. I thought about getting her a new friend but didn't in the end and we spent another happy 17 years together. After 3 weeks she seemed much better.
I felt bad for letting him out but he would have been unhappy kept in, he was a roamer. Better a happy life even if short.

So sorry, op. Its literally heartbreaking.

We've always let our cats roam at night. It's part of their genetics.

Thanks @tiddlysquat @Footballfam your posts make me feel a little better about having let her out at night. She was such an explorer, she loved night roaming. She was found quite far from my house.

She obviously loved her night adventures. I firmly believe a short happy life is better than a long one shut indoors.
