New Kitten After Heartbreak

I dont know how many of you will remember my previous thread on the heartbreak of our young cat who had to sadly be put to sleep due to a muscle wasting condition.

Our young child was devastated as we all were, and asked about her every day. We have been talking about getting another cat ever since we lost her.

Today the day has arrived. I know the rules a photo is attached.

She is currently hiding under the sofa cushions, as I expected!

I am totally smitten already! She is booked in with our fabulous vets tomorrow afternoon for a full check up and her first injection, they have been so kind and the receptionist was overjoyed when she heard we had got another one. I will relax more when she has had a good check up, currently I am still quite anxious after what happened before.

She is now hiding under the sofa but she has been out for a play with her fishing rod and eaten some food. Now hoping she uses the litter tray soon as I had new carpet laid last week 🤣

Oh well done. I always think it's best to get another asap, if not before the older one goes (I know you're a special case). It really doesn't mean you forget them, you don't.

So finally she has used the litter tray after pooping on my week old carpet twice 🤬🤬🤣

Now she is starting to come out a little bit more but she has 2 safe places. Under the sofa or in my boobs. I feel like a kangaroo! She is currently asleep on my boobs in my vest top.

I did worry about that! She can try when she's bigger but there ain't a lot of room in there as I have big boobs! She has now got her head poking out of my vest just looking around and sniffing the air. We are meant to be going out today! I still need a shower but can't bare to move her. I am a slave already to my kitten master.
