I don't know what I did he's been whinging all day. I told him to go back to bed and get out on the right side. Did perk up when I dropped some cheese though

I dread to think what the food bill comes to for 16 cats...

That's over £67 a week on food!
Then, as you say, litter. (Cleaning out their trays must be a full time job!)
And vet bills!

I think ollies food is about £15-20pw

I cannot deny that it's a financial headache. However. I get far more from them than I can put into words. And the knowledge that they will spend their lives being spoilt rotten, rather than used for breeding repeatedly, destroyed for being 'imperfect', or just neglected makes it all worthwhile. It gives me a sense of worth that since becoming ill I don't manage to get anywhere else anymore.

Wow mine are mega cheap to feed! £26.99 for a 10kg bag of Iams that lasts about 3 months plus a sachet of wet each on a morning. It's about £6 per week!

@cricketmum84 Ollie is on wet only, I get nature's menu which is about £8 for 12 pouches or so. But he eats 3-5 a day despite being teeny

Ivy and Betsy are grazers so the biscuits work really well for them. They like to go to their bowls 20 times a day and just eat a few biscuits at a time so wet just doesn't work for us in summer as it spoils so quickly. They have a water fountain though so always have fresh flowing water.

They like the cheaper wet food first thing on a morning. I've tried them with the "posher" wet foods and they just turn their noses up! I had to give away an entire box of Lily's kitchen.

Mine get Harrington’s dry food. 2 kilos for £6 but I buy when on offer either £3 or £4 depending then get staff discount of 15% off that 😂😂

They’ve never had wet food. Always water available considering a fountain for them…

Basil isn't peeing properly this morning, waiting for our vet to open so I can speak to them.
I think I've paid 2k to have his bladder emptied once
