Tbf if he was my cat I’d say he was in too.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/02/2021 13:02

Lenny actually seems quite happy at the moment. He did try to get out but sadly he's on lockdown for a week. He's now doing what cats do best, i.e. sod all.

In his and TC's time together, NDN must have faced bills bigger than the UK Covid total.

When you enquired @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats, did NDN

a) courteously express regret and sorrow at Lenny's injury, then, after a light discussion of community and church affairs in the locality, confirm TC was at home, signing off with compliments passed from Mrs NDN to Mrs Grumpy

b) scream He Was on PS5 I ain't Even Lying; click, dial tone.

Supersimkin2 · 19/02/2021 13:13

He does have the most beeyootiful coat and seems very untroubled by the run-in, bless him. I didn't realise he was short haired.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 19/02/2021 13:40

or (c) nervously say "he was at home, weren't you little pusskins, sweetie-boy?' He was here with me the whole time getting his belly smooched. You like your belly smooched don't you Mr. Fluffypants? You know TC - and an angel of a cat, wouldn't hurt a fly would you ..... AAAAAAARRGHHHH!"

Silence.

HeyDemonsItsYaGirl · 19/02/2021 14:08

What a gorgeous boy!

Was it (d) pause "Any questions will need to be referred to TC's lawyer." dial tone

HeyDemonsItsYaGirl · 19/02/2021 14:09

Unintentional strikeout there. Blush

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/02/2021 14:30

Relieved to see you Demon!

Tbf, from the look on Lenny's face I think Grumpy would benefit from sleeping with one eye open tonight 🙈. DH got a similar look from Leroy after telling him off. Glad Lenny's OK though Grumpy, give him a gentle get well skoosh from me and a nose boop from Leroy •

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/02/2021 14:32

I didn't realise he was short haired.
Neither Lenny nor Karl are really short hairs, but I'd guess that deciding a moggies hair length when a kitten is a bit hit and miss.

Battersea assigned Karl and Lenny as DSH, Sybil as DLH, and Basil as DMH.

Domestic MEDIUM hair? Basil? I don't think so Grin

And many thanks to you all for your good wishes to Lenny Smile.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/02/2021 16:36

Your dh is brave man Yes. I’m sure you told him it’s not the cats fault.

Still trying to steer dh off calling any future cats Peaches. IMO it’s the kind of name you give a cat when you want them to grow up to be especially naughty. Like when we called Asbo Bertie because Bertie was a naughty name. Look how that worked out.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/02/2021 22:18

Leroy's Revenge. He knows damn well DH will not move him 😂

TheLongRider · 19/02/2021 22:19

Enjoy your restful sleep on the square inch of mattress that Leroy has left you.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/02/2021 23:06

Oh I'm fine - he's on DH's side.

DH has grumbled off to the spare room 😂

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/02/2021 07:03

Leroy knows if there’s a one spare seat next to you on the rocket out of here he’s getting it.

Supersimkin2 · 20/02/2021 08:01

@YesItsMeIDontCareYou’ve kept quiet about being married to Mr Darcy.

QueenPaw · 20/02/2021 10:27

Ollie is following my dad around adoringly, gazing at him Hmm
He hates men usually

nettie434 · 20/02/2021 10:31

Adding my good wishes to Lenny, Grumpy. I love the NDN conversations, YetAnotherSpartacus, Demon, Supersimkin2 Grin

Wasn't there another cat, not TC, who emerged as Top Suspect when Karl was poodled?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/02/2021 11:20

Lenny seems to be well recovered and is lifting his tail now. He was rather grumpy when I pilled him this morning but I think has forgiven me. He is however desparate to get out, I don't think we'll be keeping him for the whole week.
Yesterday evening however Basil, (VERY out of character) threw an absolute wobbly, hissing and growling at all of us but mainly directed at Lenny.
Clearly the vet smell had driven him to distraction. Seems all calm again this morning.

In terms of the attack cat - there are a few other cats around we see occasionally (one black & white, & one ginger). I've no idea with whom Lenny had a scuff though.

Supersimkin2 · 20/02/2021 19:41

Fine news re Lenny, Grumpy. Very good sign if you can't keep him in for a week, shows his gallant spirit is strong.

Basil - a momentary blip between friends eh.

TC has fall guys, eh.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 20/02/2021 21:20

I have just come up to bed (don't judge me - TV is really shit), to find that Leroy has placed Mousie on the bed. Looks like he's staking a claim.

Glad Lenny's feeling good again Grumpy.

I've had an appointment sent through for my vaccine - I guess that fully confirms that the rather odd looking text was legitimate 😁.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/02/2021 22:34

I’ve been reading in bed since 8. Going to bed soon.

Leroy will be dragging dhs personal effects into the spare room at this rate.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 20/02/2021 23:04

Leroy has made himself comfy.

DH walked in and rolled his eyes.

Me: It's not illegal to move him...
DH: I don't want to die thanks very much.

😂

swampytiggaa · 21/02/2021 04:21

I start work at 5. Need to get dressed. Gomez allowed me to get up for a wee and to make a cuppa but this is her now lying on my legs fast asleep.

Not sure it will count as a valid excuse to call in tho 😂😂😂

I've had to add half an hour into my getting up time to accommodate Boycat's need for bed cuddles - at least 2 per morning before I go downstairs. Often asks for a 3rd when I go back up last thing to put my work clothing on.
