What does your dcat eat that you wouldn't expect

Ours likes crumpets, when he was a kitten I discovered one I had left out to defrost had been nibbled all round the edge. Eating one this morning he jumped up beside on the couch(v. unusual) to beg a bit.

Mind you one of my colleagues cats likes curry and will lick any unattended plates left after a meal!

We had a wonderful cat who ate peas, the sauce only from baked beans (licked them dry) and once ripped open a bag of marshmallows and ate the lot.

Shortbread. Literally the only human food she'll touch. She turns her nose up at most cat food too

One of DBro's cats (long gone now) used to love lemon drizzle cake! I thought cats weren't supposed to like citrus? She would also gaze adoringly at him when he ate a pot of Ambrosia Creamed rice, waiting until she could lick the pot out.

Watermelon

DHs eats half a water,melon every morning and one of our cats goes mad for it. He deliberately crushes a bit so she can suck the juice.

One of mine likes pesto. She's a very middle class cat

Mine is fond of cherry cake which I discovered when I left half one wrapped in cling film in the bedbin she got in the breadbin and ate loads of it, naughty 🐈

Polystyrene packing foam and balls. He doesn't have teeth so he gums them until they break up and swallows them. And then barfs them back up, usually on a carpet, about an hour later. He also likes gumming bubble wrap so it pops.

Also Nerf gun darts, which seem to be made of similar plastic.

She turns her nose up at all human food and won't eat any cheap cat food.

Current idiot cat likes beans, bean water and baked bean juice, raw peas and pods, also broad beans and pods, french beans but only cooked, he drinks coffee and tea and will have a bash at pretty much all green vegs...I have a picture of him eating a sprout. Oh and porridge, he will sit on the table and begrudge me every mouthful, and puts his greedy little face right into the bowl as soon as my spoon is down. He also takes chunks out of those weird little mushrooms that grow in rings around the lawn.
His sister is a perfectly normal cat...like to be hand fed treats and likes to ask for her breakfast and then refuse to eat it.

My first cat used to like raw mushrooms and the second one would go mad if I bought melon and would worry everyone in the kitchen until he got a piece, he also liked cabbage and spicy things
He also ate every last chilli from a plant I had grown from seed.

Ice cream! They sit and watch us eat it then give us their best 'please put the bowls on the floor' eyes and lick our bowls clean.

Current cats are total carnivores and go crazy for all meat products. Previous cat was not fussed on meat at all, but chocolate mousse or ice cream she would sniff out instantly.

second cat also despised rice...if you gave him (or he stole) any left over curry he would leave the rice in the dish, but licked completely clean!

I also forgot idiotcat with just take any medicine at all...plonk it on top of his food and away he goes.

Mine will eat anything but her own food, she begs like a dog when I'm eating and will eat anything off my plate but put it in her bowl and she's not interested.

This sounds exactly like my toddler!

My old cats liked quorn but wouldn't eat real meat, and they liked to share cheese and onion pasties (one like the filling, one liked the pastry).
The current pair like broccoli, spinach (raw and cooked), one also likes peas, bean juice and mushy peas.

@Newkitty ours loves soya milk too! He eats everything. He's obsessed with baked beans. He's also partial to a peppermint tea. He's a nightmare to have food around 😂

My current cat loves lettuce! He comes running if he sees me take it out of the fridge and will shamelessly steal it from our plates if we aren't careful...
Little gem is his favorite. He runs off with it and bats it around before eating it...

Ours loves bread. I need to put it right away or if it’s last he will have ripped open the bag. Same goes for rolls🤦🏼‍♀️ Will try most things but hates sausages strangely enough

Sweetcorn, Yorkshire pudding and pizza crusts here. One of them goes crazy trying to open the dominos pizza box too.

Our dog on the other hand is obsessed with the cat dreamies.

Soya milk and rocket, favourite toy is a sugar snap pea tied onto a piece of string

My old cat loved ready salted crisps and maltesers
