My Tabitha on the garden table, and in the (one and only!) comfortable garden chair.

1st time on my lap for this big bruiser, who joined the household 2 years ago. Terrible photo, but I had to be quick and he didn't stay long😩

Do you think Havelock’s favourite perch is just a teensy bit on the small side now?

Can this be comfortable, or good for the printer?

I was doing some gardening out the front and looked up to see Colin on the window sill..... outside. I thought the window was only open a smidge little bugger. Just had some stuff arrive to make a screen

He also managed to eat some green Guam from a Nerf disc. Phoned vet and they said they wouldn't make him suck and to keep an eye on him. I've been squishing poo since

About the cactus with the bite out of it?

And Ms Sybil is looking very coquettish ...

Oldraver · 17/08/2020 18:00

Colin had some pom poms arrive today which he has loved, running aroundd the house and growling at me

I wasn't the cruel one who put it in the washing basket

Defiantly41 · 17/08/2020 20:32

Colin is utterly delightful, Oldraver

TheLongRider · 17/08/2020 21:15

Did he work out that he could jump into the basket and find the pom pom? Problem solving is great for cats.

OP posts:
Oldraver · 18/08/2020 08:01

No he didn't figure out getting in the basket at all

Yesterday he spent disemboweling one pompon pulling threads out. He wasn't pleased I took the threads away but after the Nerf incident thought it wise

He also kept dropping it in his food bowl when he went to eat. Was funny seeing him move it around the bowl to get at his food

I put the screen up at the window (I copied Flat Cats) and he seemed to love the breeze but yowled at me while I was in the garden

@TheLongRider.. do you loose him on the floor ? We have similat tiles and lino in the dining room which is Colin coloured. How we've not stepped on him I dont know.

This morning he woke after me then came and lay on my chest for a couple of hours. I just ad to stay in bed and watch telly

Oldraver · 21/08/2020 11:21

Is Nemo new ?

TheLongRider · 21/08/2020 13:06

We found Nemo on a country walk beside a river on Wednesday. We're on holiday in the south-east of Ireland. He was mewing in the undergrowth beside a lock keeper's cottage. The lady of the house said he been dumped there a week previously and she wouldn't/couldn't keep him. We offered to take him and I walked 4 miles back to our accommodation with him stuffed into my hoody!

He'll meet the rest of our cat gang tomorrow when we go home. He was quiet enough yesterday and today he's full of beans! We bought him a cat carrier, food, toys and a litter tray. He's landed on all his four paws.

Fabulous news for nemo!! You sound fab too!

TroysMammy · 21/08/2020 19:54

Not today but a couple of days ago. Haribo obviously wants to be by the sea.

Sybil's search for ridiculously uncomfortable places to sleep continue. She also nearly knocked the bowl off when she woke up.

@Longrider lucky lucky Nemo. Is he home yet ?

I wa woken at 5.30 by someone trying to sleep on my neck and face, but he got frustrated with my breathing ruffling his fur. I he decided to move up and groom my eyebrows

He's started to be a bit loving and lives sleeping on my chest. Sometimes he's a tad needy.

In other news h as an email to say one vets fees have been paid (2300) and hopefully we can continue caring for Ernie. They ask you on the form if the animal died FFS

Nemo is back home with us. He's played with all the cat toys. There's been a mixed reaction from the other cats. Our 18 month old tabby, Hobbes, has thrown all his toys out of the pram. We've done the worst thing ever in bringing home a kitten as far as he's concerned. He's stomping around, grumbling at the kitten and moaning at us humans.

The two older boys aren't too bothered, grey cat is upset but it hasn't stopped him from trying to eat the kitten's food and shoving the kitten out of the way! They've sniffed each other and are ok. Black and white fluffy boy is mostly ignoring Nemo. Black girl cat has spent most of the last 24 hours on DD's bed and has also ignored Nemo.

Nemo himself is delightful, he's eaten food, played with toys, talked to all of us. He's very respectful of all of the older cats and isn't bothered by the grumbling directed at him. He just finds another toy to play with.
