@TheLongRider

Your tabby could be my Edie's twin brother!

They're both resting while they wait for Squigey (an entire neighborhood tomcat) to have his op next week. They're too scared (lazy) to go out until then.

Jaxhog · 08/08/2020 19:35

It was still attached to the trap. God only knows how he got it through the cat flap.

One of mine brought a dead hedgehog in once. We all cried at the funeral.

Karl has decided that the dining room table is the best place to repose now.

Why do my cats insist on sleeping on hard surfaces?

Behind the tap underneath the gunnel. On the sunny side of the boat.

@Longrider I think he bypassed the worra worra sound and went straight to growl. He's growled at us a few times when we were near his bag, though one time he was running toward me and had the temerity to growl

This morning he had a bit of raw meat and he went like a lunatic, that's off the menu for a while

We also stupidly thought this would keep him at bay so we could have fresh air in the dining room... he scaled it, gonna need a bigger bit of wood

Thought I'd provide an update on Poodley (Karl).

His tail is definitely returning to normal and now just narrows at the base Smile.

Have the other cats stopped laughing at him Grumpy ?

Glad he's looking...more cat like and less poodley

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/08/2020 13:40

Have the other cats stopped laughing at him?

I believe so, and even we don't call him Poodley any more.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/08/2020 13:46

I think I'd personally be a little sad that the ability to ridicule him has been diminished :)

How's TC?

Oldraver · 11/08/2020 08:14

Well Colin is a bit of a climber much more than Ern was. He's made it into the dining table so has to be banished at mealtimes

We have a stair gate with hardboard one, so he stays downstairs though he's trying to figure how to get over. Came downstairs yesterday and before I could open the gate he had leaped onto it from the fourth stair and jumped down the other side

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 11/08/2020 09:10

Basil is so hot this morning that he can't even be bothered to move away from his food bowls.

And Spartacus
Don't worry - I can always find something to ridicule the cats and ds1 & ds2 about. Grin

As for TC - he's been his usual ubiquitous self - though we were a bit surprised when one of NDN's dogs tried to break in through the back door yesterday. Shock

YetAnotherSpartacus · 11/08/2020 11:01

Even Sybil?

Again, I think TC is building an army.

Want2beme · 11/08/2020 21:45

Contemplating their next move, or just having ANOTHER rest, whilst I work my socks offHmm

Don't you just love how your cat can make a real song and dance about sicking up a trail full of grass and fur....

... then demand to be fed in the kitchen, immediately after they've backed away, and are denying all knowledge of the mess on the living room floor?

We've all been there, haven't we?

WheresThatCatGoneNow · 12/08/2020 15:37

They always make a really noisy performance of being sick!

Yowling and scratching the carpet!

Just to make sure I'm fully aware of what's going on, and to be on hand to rescue them if they get into trouble.

Every cat I have ever owned has done this!

Oldraver · 12/08/2020 16:24

Apparently Colin could be subdued due to having his first vaccination..... still waiting

He was a good boy as the vet bribed him with a tray of meat, though he tried eating his new carrier all the way there

Oldraver · 12/08/2020 16:24

Forgot a pic

GrumpyOldPerson - re: Hard surfaces.

I've often wondered the same thing! My lot have the choice of any number of comfortable sleeping places throughout the house, but, typical cats, they ignore them and choose to sleep on the top of a door, or a freezing cold window ledge.

Mind you, just now with this hot weather, I can fully understand their decision to settle down somewhere relatively cool 😹

ToLongNow · 12/08/2020 22:35

Moaowing for food....
Like always 🐈🐾

She always has dry food down and afew treats but always after more wet food....

Shes really old, so we let her off
