Colin is getting irritated with me as I won't let him out to play

Sitting on my mouse mat while I try to work, and going in the bath when the cleaner was here.

Oldraver · 04/11/2020 16:59

So I gave in and let them have a few minutes play

Colin led Dexter astray up a tree

We let Nemo out for 10 minutes this morning. He worked out how to get out through the cat flap easily enough. He was all a quiver outside sniffing the bejaysus out of everything.

He was not impressed at being captured and brought back in. He then spent the next 30 minutes trying to batter his way back out the catflap.

We'll let him out for a bit longer tomorrow.

Colin had just been howling at the doors as Dexter is out, so I'm wrapped up and on cat sitting duty

At least with Dexter to bother it sort of stops Colin making a run for it

Oldraver · 05/11/2020 12:18

Oh and it looks like Colin has claimed his poo spot, so I've been clearing it of leaves as he got Stroppy with them

Oldraver · 05/11/2020 12:32

Cheeky monkeys

Being an arse. He doesn’t want to go out because it’s cold and I don’t want him going out cos fireworks but he keeps leading me to the back door, waiting until I open it, and then poking his head out to turn his nose up.

Oldraver · 06/11/2020 11:53

Of course now I've cleared the leaves from Col's poo spot, he's gone elsewhere

YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/11/2020 12:22

Col is waiting for winter, hoping for a freeze, in order to have the experience of you defrosting his poo spot with boiling water.

TheLongRider · 06/11/2020 12:32

Nemo has been in and out like the cuckoo in a cuckoo clock. He's delighted with himself. Hobbes has been traipsing around after him like a mother hen, sheparding him out of the neighbour's gardens.

Oldraver · 06/11/2020 15:18

Well Col better make a final decision on his poo spot. I'm not traipsing a kettle all over

He's met the window cleaner, and was ' attacking' the glass. Don't know who was more startled

Oldraver · 06/11/2020 15:21

So Nemo has ventured beyond the garden ?

I think Col would be off if we weren't on guard and I'm dreading it. Ern never figured his way out until he was over a year (and more sensible) I'm waiting on Col's vet getting back to o me re his de bollocking and chipping

TheLongRider · 06/11/2020 15:49

Nemo is doing the typical cat thing of checking his territory in a spiral pattern. He sniffed all around the back garden, then came back in, he did the same out the front and to the houses immediately on either side. If a seagull squawked as it flew overhead, he came back in. If he spotted a dog on the other side of the green, he hid under a car or shot back into the house. His eyes have been on stalks since we let him out.

Yesterday and today he only really spent about 90 minutes outside. He was knackered for the rest of the day. He's not allowed out after dark.

We live in a fairly quiet cul de sac but with a busy major road out the back. Our cats seem happy enough to stay this side of the wall. It's a well established suburban area with plenty of mature gardens to hide in and plenty of other cats in the neighbourhood.

Hobbes is patrolling with Nemo and our other cats are keeping an eye on him too. Also the weather has been perfect, calm and dry so plenty of scent around with no wind to disorient him.

We just have to trust him as we do with all of our cats.

New DCat is watching Kylie on TV. He was trying to scratch Owain the weatherman but we told him off.

Oldraver · 07/11/2020 09:03

Something in the garden spooked Colin this morning, he spent ages sniffing two areas of garden and didn't bother with Dexter at all

Normal service has resumed and they're chasing and play fighting again

TheLongRider · 07/11/2020 12:50

Exploring in the garden with Mouse and recharging before racing outside again.

Being invisible! He has found somewhere to sleep in the daytime and we only seem to see him after dark!
Bit worrying if we want to let him out some time but not after dark at first.

TheLongRider · 07/11/2020 14:32

Have you posted a picture of him? I don't think I've seen the be.
