Colin's markings look like motorway chevrons.

Cheers - he's a very handsome chap Smile

Lovely photos TheLongRider. You have a very handsome collection of cats!

Colin is looking very handsome (and cheeky) too Oldraver 😻

Oldraver · 13/10/2020 10:08

Colin is very cheeky. He also loves the tree, so we now have a trellis with another piece on top that he uses as a ladder, he just comes down it headfirst like its a set of steps

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/10/2020 10:11

I made the mistake of briefly leaving a box on the kitchen table this morning

What else did you do to elicit that glare?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/10/2020 11:26

I had the audacity to call her name so she looked at me for the photograph. Reason enough for a glare from Sybil Grin.

drspouse · 13/10/2020 11:59

Popping in to say... we have been made aware of a cat locally that is attached to a house but that may need to move (the owners of the house have already moved abroad)... and we are waiting to hear back from the owners if they have chosen us as the cat's new house...

purrswhileheeats · 13/10/2020 14:32

Woody miaowing at the window to get in... right next to an open door Confused

Darling Sybil Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/10/2020 23:04

Having done nothing but curl up in exciting boxes all day (with just an occasional break to eat and visit the litter tray) Sybil now clearly needs to relax.

Love the Sybil pics @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 17/10/2020 17:34

As the weather has got a bit colder it's become impossible to sit down in the Grumpy household without a cat immediately appearing.
Currently have Karl - and I could help noticing that he has very hairy ears Grin.

We actually lost our previous DC a few weeks ago. She was old and was suddenly really deteriorating, and much sadness has been had.

Today, kind of by surprise, we find ourself with a brand new DC! I messaged someone local who takes in rescue cats in a vague query about any cats that might be needing a home soon... aaaand there's a timid little thing hiding in the closet under the stairs! New cat! DH had to make a run for cat food and cat treats and litter.

But MN people, she's the lovelies of all cats ever. So pretty. She's been abused and was petrified of people, I'm told, especially men. But once here, she's had food and snacks, she's used her litter tray, and she keeps making little excursions out of the safety of her cupboard. She's come to meow and nuzzle at both me and DH (who is, indeed, a man!) and has a little purrr going while doing so. We're leaving her alone when she retreats into her safety zone..

She's so pretty! I don't even have any pictures yet, because every time she's surfaced I've been distracted by her, and haven't reached for the phone. But guys - she's so pretty!

TheLongRider · 17/10/2020 22:45

That's great news. I hope she has a long and happy life with you. I look forward to seeing the pictures...

We are also meeting our new cat tomorrow! Black, 5 years old, he's in a house where someone allergic is moving in.

Bargebill19 · 18/10/2020 00:42

Getting comfortable.

@InsaneProbably Poor cat, I hope she realises she’s safe soon. What colour is she?.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 24/10/2020 14:54

It's my feather - and if anyone else tries to play with it I'll bite them Grin.
