What breed is my cat??

Hi everybody.

I know it’s a long shot, a very long shot, and I’m not asking for an exact answer, but I’ve akways wondered what breed my kitty could be?

If anyone is a real cat enthusiast and has all the knowledge of breeds, it would be interesting to know!
Thankyou Wink

Wow, I have no idea but he is a stunner. :)

Wolfiefan · 24/04/2018 20:50

Most cats are moggies. What makes you think your cat is a particular breed?

Toddlerteaplease · 24/04/2018 20:52

We had a white cat almost identical to him. He was absolutely stunning. Never worked out what breed he was as he was from the CPL.

Madbengalmum · 24/04/2018 20:53

Looks like a very pretty moggie.

Tjola95 · 24/04/2018 20:53

Thank you! She’s a girl tho haha!
She could be moggy absolutely! I’m just wondering if there’s any possibility of identifying something else, but I’ll stick with moggy lol

She could have a bit of Exotic shorthair in her. She has a similar thick, fluffy coat to mine and a similar face, except mine is more flat around the nose.

Gorgeous cat though.

Wolfiefan · 24/04/2018 20:56

She's gorgeous. With the white nose and ears do you have to apply sunscreen?

Tjola95 · 24/04/2018 20:56

They are beautiful cats aren’t they. We rescued her from this awful place who just bred cats for cash. She probably is a moggie, but she’s so beautiful it led me to think she could have something else in her

Hehe she doesn’t roam far. We live near a busy road, so she has access to the garden, which she only sniffs about in morning time and maybe late evening. She’s very shy, doesn’t really enjoy the outdoors and only goes outdoors if she knows I’m close or outside with her! Quite the wuss really Grin

The big ears make me wonder if she’s got a bit of Burmese in her.
There’s plenty of moggie in there too, but she is beautiful 😍

pictish · 24/04/2018 21:02

She’s absolutely gorgeous OP but she’s just a white cat isn’t she?

MoonlightKissed · 24/04/2018 21:02

A vet would describe her on their records as a DSH - Domestic Short Hair.

madeyemoodysmum · 24/04/2018 21:19

She's Very pretty.

Maybe a touch of British shorthair but it is possible to get a pure white moggie.

Tjola95 · 24/04/2018 21:20

Ok thank you appreciate the feedback! Grin I was going to do another thread but I was wondering opinions on getting your kitty vaccinated? She's already spayed but she's booked in to b vaccinated just wondering what other people do?

SandunesAndRainclouds · 24/04/2018 21:22

She’s beautiful. Does she hear ok? (It is white cats that tend to be deaf, isn’t it??)

Wolfiefan · 24/04/2018 21:26

Vaccinate.
And deflea.
And worm.
Why is she spayed but not vaccinated?
Also worth considering microchipping.

RhinoBlue · 24/04/2018 21:32

Her head shape looks a little like one of my British Shorthairs. Definitely vaccinate. She is a beauty.

madeyemoodysmum · 24/04/2018 21:33

I vaccinate my young ones but I don't bother with the 16 year old. She rarely goes out and never roams now.

Tulipvase · 24/04/2018 21:37

I think it’s white Coat/ blue eyes that tend to be deaf. Lovely cat.

Tjola95 · 24/04/2018 21:52

She's not deaf no, thank goodness Grin
She's only 7 months.... and was spayed about a month ago, I haven't vaccinated her yet because I don't want to overwhelm her.
She's booked in tomorrow to be vaccinated and microchipped.

Fleeing and deworming goes without saying, that's done as of when required. Smile

LanguidLobster · 24/04/2018 21:56

She's lovely. Does anyone else get a touch of jealousy when they see someone else's cat?? You feel like you want them all!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 24/04/2018 22:06

She's lovely. I'm sure she is a Moggy - the best kind of cat Grin.

Wolfiefan · 24/04/2018 22:09

Deflea each month. Not OTC stuff. Advocate?
Worm? We do three monthly profender.
Not as and when.
We did the microchip when we spayed them so they were out for the count. Vaccinations should be done before they are allowed out.

Tjola95 · 24/04/2018 22:21

Wolfiefan your coming across quite rude and abrupt.
I've done what my vet advises and she's flead every month using advantage prescribed by my vet and wormer every 3 months prescribed by my vet also.

I don't feel I should have to justify that to you, as your making me feel like I'm incompetent of looking after my own cat, which I can safely say I'm a brilliant owner and take my kitty's well-being very seriously. She doesn't go outside either, she may sniff about our small garden but that's it and it's rare. This was given the ok by my vet.

Due to her having a health problem when I rescued her she wasn't able to have all the treatments in one sitting.

Please be more kind and not pass judgment. I have received lovely comments on this post, and feel you have ruined it by questioning my care for my cat which is complete and utterly unnecessary.
