I am totally in love with our boy, he is so affectionate.

Our lovely boy all grown up. Also our beautiful old lady Flo. They're both rescues and incredibly spoilt.

Normal. My girl had a bad start before I took her on, so the first time she trusted me & climbed onto my lap & actually purred, which she hadnt done since I'd had her, I could have cried (it took months).

This is Mia who quite literally chose me at the animal shelter. I couldn’t imagine life without her.

Yep heart hurts with love every time I see him. And people who know me would not believe that sentence could come out of my mouth...

I googled this too as my beautiful boy passed away 3 months ago and after the initial shock and pain I'm still really struggling to accept that he died and I have to get used to life without him.
Yes it is normal to love them more than anything but also its truly heartbreaking when they die.
I used to well up just at the thought of it and when it happened it was completely unexpected and devastating as he was only 10.
If you feel the same then be prepared to grieve when they die, its the price you pay for love and the more you love the more you grieve. I have so many happy memories of Oscar and I hope in time to feel more at peace with things.

I actually wake up in the night and if he isn’t snoring I prod him to make sure he’s ok! He takes up more of my bed than I do. But look at that little face

Oh these beautiful beautiful cats! My heart swells with love for mine - I absolutely understand the need for shorter holidays because of missing the cats too much!
