Just that really. This silly little floofball has utterly stolen my heart...(to the extent that DP sometimes looks at me with an expression of amusement and Hmm)

Here she is striking her "I'm dead scary, me" pose Grin

Never thought I would feel that way when we got a kitten 5 weeks ago but I fell in love so quickly! She gives the best cuddles.

Allsfair. I grew up with two female blue Burmese. Fantastic animals. Challenging but fun! If it helps they lived to a ripe old age (and I think one of them was the runt too!)
We had nearly two weeks away this August. Towards the end teen DS admitted he was homesick. I suggested it couldn't be too awful as he was with his parents and sibling. Nope. He missed the cats! Shock
To be fair so did I. I want a shorter holiday next time. Blush

Amber what a sweetie! He looks very comfy there

minmooch · 21/09/2016 06:19

Pretty normal ..... until they bring you lots of gifts. And the gifts that keep giving - like the dead mouse I found behind some pictures on the floor. I had been looking for it for a while as there was a certain smell. Removed the dead mouse only to find my carpet writhing with maggots ..... I have now learnt that picking up maggots and squeezing them until they pop is quite satisfying ConfusedConfused

allsfairinlove · 22/09/2016 01:20

wolfie I've never had Burmese before and despite reading a whole load of literature beforehand, nothing prepared me for this little mixed up bundle of terror, gorgeousness, skittishness and fun that this utterly adorable monster is! Grin And I wouldn't change her for the world!

minmooch, talking of maggots, I put a covered cat litter box in the garden with biodegradable cat litter (corn based) in it. Neither cat used it, and I sort of forgot about it. Then it rained. A lot.

This was the writhing, maggotty result. 2 bottles of bleach, and anything else caustic went in there. The buggers STILL wouldn't die!

I love mine so much I feel a little heart rush when I look at her sometimes. When she does that little "Brrrrr" when you talk to her or give her a passing stroke.

She's 13 now so I'm just dreading the day she's no longer with us. I don't know what we'll do. DH adores her.

RubbishMantra · 22/09/2016 14:09

MCat does a lovely miaow, accompanied by what I call the "ear-shake" when I enter the house, or greets me in the morning.

Little M likes to do a Riverdance.

I love my glossy B&W Mog, and my little curly (slightly greasy, but only ears, armpits and legpits) Devon Rex so very much.

They're both a-snoozing on their baby blanket. I don't think I'd have survived the past year without them. In spite of the maggot soup. Envy

allsfairinlove · 22/09/2016 15:34

Grin at image of Riverdancing cat

I'm totally with you about crappy days. Little cuddlecat seems to sense moods and quietly curls up next to me with the occasional gentle bunt as if to say "it's Ok human, everything's going to be OK".

Yes, apparently I speak about my cat more than my OH, to the extent that ppl thought my OH was called Mike... 'eh no, Mike's the cat...' awkward

EachandEveryone · 10/11/2016 01:33

Im nuts about my baby. Was never a cat person but christ she cheers me up no end.

lottieandmia · 11/11/2016 13:59

Yes! I definitely feel that way about ours, even though our boy keeps waking me up at 4am!

pilates · 11/11/2016 20:32

Yep me too Blush

I treat her like my children. Every day she goes out I worry about her and get really twitchy if she isn't in by 6pm.

I can't walk past her without giving her a tickle under the chin and a kiss.

iwantmycakeandtoeatit · 12/11/2016 14:17

Mine doing what they do best,I absolutely love them.

This is our new little guy, rescued from a park where he was found all alone and crying. They think he's about 1 year old. He eats like a horse and we love him very much.

Rolly, what a beauty, the markings are gorgeous.

waternymph · 24/12/2018 14:15

I just googled “what is a normal amount to love your cat” and this came up. You are completely normal. I love my cat to distraction too xxx

Ilovecrumpets · 24/12/2018 14:36

@allsfairinlove we got a little Burmese boy a month ago and I know what you mean. He is just the loveliest cat ever and so cuddly and affectionate with my 2 young DS.

@waternymph The idea of someone googling 'what is a normal amount to love your cat' has really tickled me.

ElektraLOL · 24/12/2018 21:58

Awww that Burmese cat 😍😍😍

Anyway, I have 4 ragdoll cats and I love them all so much. One of them I think it would be fair to say I love her almost as much as my children. She's such a special cat. They all are but she was our first.

ElektraLOL · 24/12/2018 22:02

They like to clean each other 🤣 he's not so happy about it!
