My poor boy

My 13 month old tabby fell into a container of diesel, he's become really ill and my husband has took him to emergency vet. Does anybody know if he is likely to recover from this? We would be heartbroken to lose him

Thats amazing news, am thrilled for you all!

LEMisdisappointed · 23/09/2013 13:11

Oh, i think i might have something in my eye Blush So so pleased he didn't need pts after all :)

thecatneuterer · 23/09/2013 13:15

He doesn't look as bad in the photo as I was expecting - although he doesn't look thrilled about the collar. But he's not a tabby Mrsrob - he's a white and ginger - although really who cares? He's alive and going to get better!!

fackinell · 23/09/2013 13:50

Oh I can't see the pic on my phone. I'm still chuffed to bits about this!! Grin

TheWinterOne · 23/09/2013 14:40

DidoTheDodo · 23/09/2013 14:54

That's such a relief, you must be so happy.

I read this at work earlier I cried in the car but couldn't post.

hellymelly · 23/09/2013 18:09

Putitonthelist · 23/09/2013 19:03

BruceyBaby · 23/09/2013 20:00

Oh my - what a relief! Just read from my last post and couldn't believe he was going to be pts. Having suddenly lost my young boy in April really was so sad for you but fast forward to your brilliant post mrsjrob I'm so pleased!! Awful you had a tortured night but wonderful news this morning. Can't see your pic on my phone so will have to look another time SmileSmileSmile

timtam23 · 23/09/2013 20:35

Really pleased to see your update mrsjrob

Go Whitey!

Sparklingbrook · 23/09/2013 20:38

mrsjrob such great news. Wine

KittieCat · 23/09/2013 20:47

Have just checked back in on your thread and am delighted it's relatively good news for Whitey!

Superb, just superb he's on the mend.

I hope someone slams your twunt of a neighbour's testicles in a door. He deserves it and then some. Please do report him, but maybe once you've moved.

KittieCat · 23/09/2013 20:49

Just looked at your pic and he's beautiful. Sending healing vibes.

ZebraOwl · 23/09/2013 21:13

May possibly have just startled my cats by crying at the good news. Maybe.

Am so SO pleased Whitey didn't have to be PTS & hope he recovers well-and-quickly. He looks v dashing in that photo, despite being so poorly atm: like a skewbald cat Grin

Can we pretend the Biscuit is a cat-treat? Because I think Whitey deserves Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit & you Flowers Wine Brew Cake!

mrsjrob · 23/09/2013 21:21

Thank you all he has managed to eat a tiny wee bit today Grin I have been calling him a tabby because I thought that's what all cats who weren't a breed were called iykwim Smile

cozietoesie · 23/09/2013 21:27

Eating? Great news.

Smile
thecatneuterer · 23/09/2013 21:30

Aww I'm glad he's eaten something. I'm sure he doesn't care what you call him but, if you're interested, a non-pedigree cat is commonly of course 'a moggy' but correctly a 'domestic short hair' or 'domestic long hair'. Only vets use that terminology though really.

'Tabby' refers to the brown stripey cats, or ginger tabbies which are ginger but still with stripey marking.

So officially he is a DSH white/ginger. But of course really he's just a very beautiful and, as it has turned out, very lucky boy.

Cybercat · 23/09/2013 21:30

I would have put him as a ginger and white domestic short hair. Either way I'm just chuffed for you that he is recovering!

thecatneuterer · 23/09/2013 21:32

Cross-post Cybercat :)

Cybercat · 23/09/2013 21:44

Indeed! You were more eloquent though Smile

ExitPursuedByADragon · 23/09/2013 22:03

OMG

Puss survived

Hurrah.

cozietoesie · 24/09/2013 19:02

How is Whitey today?

mrsjrob · 24/09/2013 22:01

He is so much better today, he has eaten loads Grin and is managing to walk around the house.

We still can't pick him up but hopefully won't be long
