They're currently on Millies Wolfheart dry but to get them to eat it I have to add warm water and a topper.

I'd rather just move to wet food which they gonwild over.

But something chicken free.

Try

TAILSTER40

For 40% off forthglade. New customers only so you might need to create a new email address. Nothing in it for me.

Oh can get 96 forthglade 395g dor £75 that will last us well over a month

Is it worth buying without knowing they like it though 😅

My dog doesn't like Forthglade, her breeders raised her on it but she would only ever eat a little with us despite us persevering with it, (they were a litter of 12, so I suspect that the sibling rivalry encouraged her to eat it at the breeders). We ended up giving around £80 worth to a dog rehoming charity. It's definitely worth you trying it though as it's a very good quality food.

Ocado sells the individual trays, as do some small independent pet shops and Forthglade themselves, if you want to try a few before committing to a big order.

GhibliCat · 19/08/2024 10:27

Well I went to order it and all the ones that are 30% off for just the rest of today are out of stick

So guess we aren't getting that!

Our beagle is on Harringtons - they do all sorts of flavours and you can get it grain free as well.

We order ours online via subscription but they're available in most supermarkets.

Unfortunately harringtons are one of the many frustrating companies that market their meals as 'salmon and potato' beef, lamb etc...but are mainly chicken because it's cheaper to fill out out that way :(

Try a dollop of plain live yoghurt as the topper. Cheaper and easier than sardines and hot water!

Though tbf as a Labrador owner the idea that a dog would need tempting to eat anything is alien to me 🤣

FountainsOfPens · 19/08/2024 16:18

Millies do wet food and whilst it's a bit of an outlay, you get the best prices by ordering the big packs of them - they have a long shelf life, soo that's how I used to do it, when mine ate wet food.

I ended up giving away 8kg of Millies wolf heart as the damn lab wouldn't eat it. Fussiness does have its advantages however, I can let them free range at the allotment as they won't touch most fruit and veg 😀

Butchers tripe, not sure if it has chicken in, but works for my very fussy greyhound, and not expensive.

GhibliCat · 19/08/2024 17:39

I've ordered the forthglade.
It will last 7 weeks at 1 each for my pugs then I bought a 48 pack of small dog food for my chihuahua at £98.

Works out about £2 per day for 3 dogs.

If they like it, it works out great as everyone just has a packet each a day.

Our dog absolutely loved Chappie. It was really good for her sensitive stomach

Mindymomo · 22/08/2024 17:02

Good news.

50shadedofmagnolia · 22/08/2024 17:11

Mine loves chappie he's so fussy he turns his nose up at most others.
He also enjoys kibble with asdas smart price sardines mixed In which is actually cheaper than dog food

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 23/08/2024 19:45

Butchers, my dog does well on this.

familyissues12345 · 25/08/2024 08:42

We've used forthglade before, before moving onto tribal - that was fab, but they slowly stopped doing so many options in the small tubes, so we moved away from it.

We now feed raw food and canagan kibble. We also feed chicken free
