Mine is disgusted by bananas, despite seeking out such delicacies as cat shit and dead things. And quite genuinely offended by sudden rain on a walk.

She ate an ant once and is now extremely suspicious of any speck on the ground that may taste equally bad. There is one particular person she does not respect, look at or listen to.

The soft lovely blanket protecting the sofa from her general stink is apparently texturally akin to terrible thorns raking at her and so it must be scratted off onto the floor with accompanying unimpressed expressions on her face.

If the cats go near her food when I'm preparing it, her eyes literally bulge out of her head in horror/anger.

She also is very distrustful of things that may blow air at her- straws, cardboard tubes etc. She runs at them for more but then peels off and gets radgy.

But the worst is her nemesis, the neighbours cat. Who does a fine job of pissing her off daily, standing on our window ledge outside and literally staring at her until she nearly dies of rage.

Oh I forgot, she also hates being ignored and will stab your leg or arm with her pointed nose very hard, until you give the required amount of ~constant 24hour~ attention.

Forgot to add, collie dogs. There is one she loves down the road but all others are THE ENEMY. Not sure why but it's a definite pattern. Maybe because they are so smart and she is so dumb.

Whatevershallidowithmylife · 01/04/2024 23:09

DDog1 - men, things out of place or new in house, motorhome, boots and belts 😢
DDog2 - other dogs.

Colinfromaccounts24 · 01/04/2024 23:18

The hoover, anything that looks like a hoover, cat from down the road that taunts her by sitting on our fence, people walking past our house, wet grass, anything new or that has been moved somewhere new in the house.

bluetopazlove · 01/04/2024 23:24

A cough or a sneeze and she is gone 😂 . She doesn't seem to mind her own sneezes or farts though . Predictably .

MaMisled · 01/04/2024 23:30

Puppy looks utterly terrified when I fart in bed, older dogs hates metallic sounds.

Teats4twins · 01/04/2024 23:31

French bulldogs

Imitationzone · 01/04/2024 23:33

Ddog1

Seagulls - they must die.

Helium balloons - probably aliens coming to get us.

The broom - fair game and less likely to fight back than a cat.

Foxes - mortal enemies.

Ddog 2

Small elderly dogs minding their own business - mortifying.

The Sainsbury’s delivery van parking.

The recorder.

Flies.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 01/04/2024 23:34

Anything that he seems weird

Scooters
Wheelchairs
Skateboards
Motorbikes
Stilts

But he does seem to be
Growing out of this a bit now.

mrsanflowerpot · 01/04/2024 23:38

The hoover. How dare it even be. We have it on various levels of our town house and he is beyond furious on every occasion.

thenightsky · 01/04/2024 23:38

The physical act of a human opening a bottle prosecco is terrifying and he needs to leave the room.

Someone picking up a tea towel is also scary.

That’s so funny 😁

I love threads like this.

My dog also hates collies. He thinks they are tryhards and their obedience is pathetic 😜

feelingalittlehorse · 02/04/2024 00:04

The piss taking pigeons in the garden really rile mine up.

Man, they are confident feathery bastards.

AssassinsEyebrow · 02/04/2024 00:08

Eyedrops

I'm realising how laid back she is, nothing else phases her!

sequin2000 · 02/04/2024 00:11

The hoover, black dogs, dogs that look like other animals, cats, old people 😢, boxes. He also hates all toys but loves an empty bottle.

PieonaBarm · 02/04/2024 00:13

Mine went OTRB in 2022, but a not exhaustive list is.....

Sizzling pans, next doors kids playing football/basketball, cats, birds that have the audacity to sit on his fences, labradors, golden retrievers, the hosepipe, my dads next door neighbour, my best mates ex boyfriend (tbf he was right, he was a horrible man), being in a car, the groomers, the vet, anyone walking past his house, I could go on.... bloody miss that little dog!

PieonaBarm · 02/04/2024 00:15

Oh, and the bath/shower, having his ears cleaned, taking tablets (Wiley little bugger for this, had to get crafty), being brushed.....

LamonicBibber1 · 02/04/2024 00:16

Oh and this one is very niche, the black wolf that's in the distance for a few seconds on a hill in the film "Fantastic Mr Fox". She's not bothered by the foxes themselves lol. She's a smallish dog but she bays like the Hound of the Baskervilles when she sees that tiny silhouetted black wolf on the TV (my child went through a phase of watching that film a lot).

Poshjock · 02/04/2024 00:18

Posh Poodle is terribly laid back and nothing bothers him … except…

anything that disrupts his 16 hour sleep. He groans and grumbles and harrumphs, throws himself back down and kicks legs until he is sure you are very much aware of his displeasure, before resuming his slumber.

Babyroobs · 02/04/2024 00:19

My boy is nervous of a lot of noises. hates fireworks, motorbikes, gunshots ( farmers locally). He even hates the noise if you are piercing the plastic of a ready meal. He had a meltdown yesterday because I was opening and closing a ring file, doesn't like anyone raising their voice. Also any insect that buzzes especially flies. mosquitos etc . He can be hard work !
My older dog does not like wheelie bins, inflatable snowmen or anything inflatable outside people's homes at Christmas, but especially not the snowman.

Mine will also constantly nudge my leg hard until she is successfully in getting the tea dregs in her bowl, a scrap of toast or any other food morsel that I have and she wants, she is relentless with the nose nudging !

Foxlover46 · 02/04/2024 00:38

@PieonaBarm ahhh he sounds like he was a smashing little dog full of character 🥰

AliceMcK · 02/04/2024 00:42

Carrots, bananas basically anything fruit or veg related ( like her human siblings) she will look at me with disgust, take it out of my hand and immediately drop it and walk off when she thinks I can’t see her.

Also HP sauce, will not eat any leftovers, even her favourite food if it’s touched HP sauce.m
