I hear growling from the bathroom. Went in to check, and my daft dog is growling at..... the cartoon squirrel on the Who Gives a Crap Christmas toilet paper wrapping! 🤔🤣

The Christmas lights in our front window. On the slow fade in and out setting, she’s fine with the fast flash or permanent settings.

The new kitchen bin Confused

FrangipaniBlue · 21/12/2023 23:35

Quite often it's thin air......

HearMeSnore · 22/12/2023 00:03

Ok not at all recent but you've just reminded me of the year my DSis got a furby for Christmas. My dog growled at it all morning.

AnotherSaturdayNight · 22/12/2023 00:05

Nothing recently, but back in the summer he would growl at hot air balloons. 😂

My stomach rumbled

Jitterybugs · 22/12/2023 00:11

My daughter’s lab stands up on her back legs to look out the window. For some reason she often farts in the process. Yesterday it was a loud audible squeaky fart and she turned round and growled at her own backside 😆

baxterbee · 22/12/2023 00:13

The bag of laundry pods (Ariel) no idea why!

user1471447924 · 22/12/2023 00:15

I mean, the squirrel does have a look about him…

Unluckycat1 · 22/12/2023 00:41

Oh I love the growling at the squirrel picture ❤️😅

Mine's not much of a growler, but she barked at the wind several times in the night last night, and barked at the last full moon and also at a particularly bright star (I'm guessing she thought they were incoming balls?)

Ladymarycrawley1920 · 22/12/2023 01:05

Bin bags. Also aeroplanes because apparently my dogs feel they own the airspace as well as the garden 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Sholkedabemus · 22/12/2023 02:11

A plant pot in the garden was on its side. Cue soft growling and wuffing. 😂🐾

allabitmadtbf · 22/12/2023 03:09

Bags of cement on the pavement. Clearly a threat.

Psychoticbreak · 22/12/2023 06:47

A leaf that blew in the door and then upon sniffing it realised it was not here to kill him and proceeded to go around with it in his mouth for the evening.

devildeepbluesea · 22/12/2023 06:50

Other dogs out walking early morning, so still dark. DDog could only see their luminous green collars, which was unacceptable.

Cadenza12 · 22/12/2023 06:51

The Christmas wreath that she can see through the glass on the front door. This is especially true when the wind is blowing the ribbons..........

Twiglets1 · 22/12/2023 06:52

My Lab used to growl at his own reflection. The funny thing was he was always friendly to other dogs. It was only the one he saw reflected that he thought looked a nasty piece of work.

Fraaahnces · 22/12/2023 06:52

Obvs don’t live in the UK. We have geckoes on our ceiling. They hang out near the lights because bugs are attracted to lights. My giant dog insists on shouting at them like a furry Victor Meldrew and nothing will ever convince her that they couldn’t care less. She also yells at next door’s lab when they are in their own respective gardens separated by a wooden fence. Outside the fence they are besties.

Thelazygardener · 22/12/2023 07:20

Every morning without fail when I let mine out for a wee she rushes up to a low wall growling and then barking at a metal decorative pheasant….I would understand if it was new….however its been there for FOUR YEARS without moving…but still the ritual continues.

Floofydawg · 22/12/2023 07:28

These are so funny! My dog hates wheelie bins, especially if they're on their sides. Yesterday's walk was interesting in the storm

daffodilandtulip · 22/12/2023 07:55

Any animals that trespasses our lounge by the medium of the TV. Including cartoon ones. And Rudolph.

sunr111se · 22/12/2023 08:09

Awww love this thread already! Don't have a dog but it's made me smile on a shitty day ❤️

Ah yes, aeroplanes! My dog not only owns the garden, the airspace above our house but also the immediate street outside and other people's drives if the dare to be on them making any noise!

Rocksonabeach · 22/12/2023 08:25

Mine don’t growl or bark at anything really except they both fight over the polar bear stuffed toy and yesterday they fought over who sat where whilst watching traffic - large labs so they obviously sit on the window sill !

next door has a tiny dog that barks at them all day from the mutual fence - mine go to the fence and prance up and down just to wind him up - there are several holes in the fence where they can spy each other or in the case of the little dog put its nose in slightly and snarls -mine wait for it to do this and then wee on it. My neighbour was hoping her dog would learn after a few wees in the face but its 3 years now ….. fortunately my neighbour blames her dogs and not mine !
