What should we named this little guy?

We’ve just adopted this little guy…he’s smaller than he looks here and only about 6 months. His last home was calling him Pocket but he’d just had that name for a month or so and doesn’t seem too attached to it. And we don’t like it 🤣

What does he look like to you?

What should we named this little guy?

I think Tank or Captain.

Possibly Bertie or Augustus (although calling that in the dog park would be a mouthful) but could call him Gus for short!

These were all so lovely! I read them all out loud to everyone, but my 10 and 8 year old insisted that Winston was “his most perfect name.”

So Winston he is, and Winston he shall be forevermore. ❤️

What should we named this little guy?

As he is a beagle, it really doesn’t matter what his name is as he won’t listen anyway!

I’ve always had dogs though and have done a lot of reading…our last dog was unwell a lot and though we adored her, I wanted a breed that was a bit sturdier and more playful. We also wanted something small (due to having a small house) but not dainty or in need of lots of professional grooming, and good with children. So when we saw this beagle needed a home we thought “perfect!” I’ve done lots of reading up on the specific breed but I know that pales in comparison to actually having one!

I’ve followed the Beagle Lady suggested upthread but if anyone has more suggestions or tips, I’ll gladly take them. He’s such a lovely boy and love him so much already ❤️
