Well the Bastards won in the end

BBC Report

But the BBC has fucked up as well - first line of the report: "Lennox, an illegal pit-bull terrier type dog.."

The whole point of the campaign being that he WASN'T a Pitt Bull Terrier.

I am gutted for him, gutted for his humans. Gutted for the little girl who wanted her best friend back. Gutted for all the people in all the other countries that offered to take him - and BCC wouldn't back down.

AND the fuckers didn't even let the family see him before they killed him - and will cremate him against the familiy's wishes.

BASTARDS.

I was under the impression that the 'petrol soaked letter' was only sent to the LIAR (would be a lot easier just to name her I suppose).

...and frankly, I couldn't give a damn.

Jesus- you're excusing putting petrol through a human being's letter box, LtEveDallas? really?

Is anyone on this thread actually involved with the BCC in any wqy? Live in Belfast? Know more about the story than we can all read on the internet?

seeker · 11/07/2012 16:38

And I agree it's an ill thout out law that ought to be repealed, by the way.

I was under the impression that human beings were, well, humanelying in a court of law to ensure that an innocent dog is murdered, is not humane in my eyes.

Seeker, many people have requested details on the case and where Lennox was held and the condition he was in, under the freedom of information act, however BCC has denied the requests. Anyone would think they had something to hide Hmm

If you look on Lennox's site you can find more details including behavioural assessments by actual behaviourists.

TheseGoToEleven · 11/07/2012 16:42

I am glad Lennox's suffering has ended but I wish it hadn't ended this way.

Honestly, I don't know how some people can live with themselves today.

seeker · 11/07/2012 16:47

"Glad you agree with the fact that it should be repealed, seeker.

Are you really expecting an answer to the proceeding post? "

Why not? People seem very knowledgeable- it would be interesting to know if they actually know what they are talking about, and not just knee jerk it's a dog it must be in the right.

pumpkinsweetie · 11/07/2012 16:49

Something isn't right here, the family were not allowed to say goodbyeHmm
The conditions he was living in were awful, a concrete block where he lived amongst his own excramentSad
Poor Lennox & his family for living 2 years of hell at the hands of BCC

seeker · 11/07/2012 16:51

How do we know about the conditions he was living in?

GingerWrath · 11/07/2012 16:53

Seeker, there are pictures out there of where he was being kept and what conditions he was being kept in.

D0oinMeCleanin · 11/07/2012 16:53

There have been photographs released by well meaning insiders showing an untreated skin condition.

The behaviour report I just linked to tells of injuries to the dogs neck and feet.

I think its odd his family were not allowed to say goodbye......very odd-i hope they get answers and a chance to sue

cocolepew · 11/07/2012 16:54

It has popped up on our local news from time to time but I never really paid much attention to it tbh. It was never headline news to my knowledge.

So you are saying that it's OK to put petrol through someone's letter box?

No I'm saying that I couldn't care less (can't you read seeker?)

OP posts:
seeker · 11/07/2012 17:20

I can read. Does "I couldn't care less" mean you don't care if this woman's house burns down with whoever is in it at the time?

pumpkinsweetie · 11/07/2012 17:28

I don't agree with putting petrol in letterboxes but then i don't agree with what they did either.

LtEveDallas · 11/07/2012 17:32

Got to go to get DD but: all that happened to that bloody LIAR was she was scared when One person put One letter that was doused in petrol through her letterbox.

I don't care.

Nothing happened to her. No fire, no nothing. Just scared. And you know what, I dont care.

If any other person had a petrol soaked letter put through their door I would care, and I would roundly condemn the action. But for her, for that woman after what she did...I don't care.

I hope that is clear for you now.
