I stand by my previous theory that Sam and Annie are either alive and well and together in the future, or Annie died and Sam was so distraught, he wanted to go back to his other life in 2006. However, after what Jim said about Annie in that clip (don't want to give anything away to those who don't want to know!!!), I'm thinking my first theory...
