You know that bit where Stacey and Bradley were in their room packing, and she said no more secrets? We assumed she was telling him the fathers name. However, it makes more sense if she had told him that she was the murderer. That explains the shock on his face when they came downstairs in the next scene, the bit under the bridge where she said she was scared and he said he'd keep her safe, and also explains why he shouted 'Run!' just before he fell off the roof. The police wouldn't have been in such a rush to get Stacey if they had Bradley. Therefore, I reckon he knew she was the killer

Rindercella · 20/02/2010 15:45

Chicken, I think you have it!

I should've posted before last night, but DH 9who rarely watched EE) said about a week ago he reckoned Stacey was the killer. When he said it, it made absolute sense.

I reckon Max will keep Mum as I cannot believe Stacey will be leaving.

I actually thought it was pretty good all things considered - yes, Jack fluffed his lines and there was some shaky camera work, but overall it worked really well.

Rockbird · 20/02/2010 15:55

The way I have been told it, they recorded a dress rehearsal in case of a complete technical meltdown. To go with this, they recorded rehearsals of various different endings. The only one that was ever going to be used was Stacey but no one outside of the 7 in the inner circle knew that.

I've also heard that there are going to be a handful of last minute scenes filmed over the coming few weeks to slot into existing episodes so it can be mentioned between those who know (Max and Stacey I guess). From everything I've read it seems like the absolute utmost was done to keep the secret so alternative endings and other scenes sound plausible to me.

I thought it was all great fun, great suspense. And leave off Jack!

allthreerolledintoone · 20/02/2010 16:49

I agreee with you chicken think you've sussed it as i couldnt understand why bradley shouted for stacey to 'run' as it was supposed to be him they were after. I thought the cast were brilliant and agree that jack bit did make it more realistic although i had my heart in my mouth at that moment.

I was wondering how they would tie in forthcoming episodes (that were filmed weeks ago) with the latest events. Rockbird must be right and it'll be like putting in a few lines in the Archers about the current weather. But how do they deal with Bradley's death/funeral? Or did they all know he was going out like that and already film a funeral even if they didn't know who the real 'killer' was?

And I LIKED Yes Minister!

edam · 21/02/2010 00:29

I loved Yes Minster too. But compare it against today's mainstream drama in terms of editorial and production values. Twenty or 30 years ago, millions of people actively enjoyed watching three men in a room talking on prime time TV. Nowadays repeats are shunted off onto BBC4 because the controllers think our attention spans are too short for us to cope without incidental music, fast cutting and plenty of action.

edam · 21/02/2010 00:29

(And weird camera angles.)

Hulababy · 21/02/2010 11:37

I don't think they record all of it that far in adavnce. There is often a lot of consistency in EE - such as snow when we have it, etc.

I suspect the bits re the murder will now be added in, with new filming, to add to pre recorded bits they have already done.

LittleWhiteWolf · 21/02/2010 11:51

Well they knew Bradley was going to die because we all knew Bradley was going to die, so funeral scenes etc will have been filmed. I guess they can quickly film stuff between Max and Stacey who are now the only 'Enders folks who know she's the murderer (said in Scottish accent)

Beasknees · 21/02/2010 12:35

i missed it - what was the ronnie reveal?

ChickensHaveSinisterMotives · 21/02/2010 14:54
