Kimi. Stacey did it, presumably because he raped her, and she thrn thought he was the father of her baby.

stillenacht · 19/02/2010 21:43

yeah but COME ON Rockbird - he gets paid SHED LOADS!!!! There are loads of great actors out there who could have done it A LOT better. I thought his recovery was pretty rubbish.

Eglu · 19/02/2010 21:44

I was hoping they were going to show what the 3 clues were on the BBC3 show, but they didn't.

I thought Jack fluffing his lines ,ade it more realistic. When people are stressed they can't get their words out.

KimiGaveUpStarbucks4Lent · 19/02/2010 21:45

See I did not know Stacey had been raped, I thought the baby was Bradleys, I am very bad at soaps

KimiGaveUpStarbucks4Lent · 19/02/2010 21:46

I still want to know who shot JR

foxinsocks · 19/02/2010 21:51

I have a soft spot for Jack as he came down here and opened the charity shop for the local children's hospice

I thought his recovery was good actually considering he HAD to carry on and still had loads of lines in that scene. I mean, imagine if they'd had to stop right at the start!

I thought bradley jumped. It looked like he paused and then ran but maybe I need to see it again. Dd was also shouting at the telly Stargirl! I thought the bit where him and Stacey kept missing each other was v well directed/acted and quite tense!

Rockbird · 19/02/2010 21:52

What's that got to do with anything? Loads of great actors out there haven't got the part, he has. What's your point? Barbara Windsor undoubtedly gets paid more than anyone and she's hopeless.

His recovery was good and I only noticed it because it sounded more natural than usual.

leavingonajetplane · 19/02/2010 21:53

I believe that was Janine alright Kimi. Thats why she was doing a runner when the sirens arrived tonight. Theres no statute of limitations on attempted murder in the states you see (according to Law and Order SVU)

jocie · 19/02/2010 21:53

was the hairbrush not one of the clues and all that stuff between stacey and becca, particulary becca she was always looking really shifty. (whispering - i did actually think it was stacey cos i knew that it wouldnt be someone obvious)

leavingonajetplane · 19/02/2010 21:56

Twas very sad when Bradley and Stacey were saying goodbye (and you knew it was goodbye as they let them pause to declare their love). Possibly Stacey has now had the worst ever wedding day in Albert Square, beating some very stiff competition.

stillenacht · 19/02/2010 21:57

I guess my point is that they are all massively overpaid for what they do really adn tonight some of them just couldn't cut it!

Eglu · 19/02/2010 21:58

Kimi

Eglu · 19/02/2010 21:59

Joice, yes the hairbrush must have been one of the clues, now I think about it

braveandcrazy · 19/02/2010 22:00

I thought Jack recovered well from fluffing his lines but there was a lovely Acorn Antiques moment at the start of a scene in the kitchen when he wasn't moving - as if he was waiting for someone to shout action.

I wonder how many people - like me - haven't watched EE in years but watched it tonight?

Rockbird · 19/02/2010 22:01

I don't see what pay has to do with it, I really don't. I thought they all did a good job, there were more mistakes with camera and lighting than with the actors. People were comparing it to being on stage but it's nothing like it. There must have been so much pressure and a huge audience looking out for mistakes. I think they all did bloody well considering they were out of their comfort zone. Don't be such a misery, they did ok.

Eglu · 19/02/2010 22:02

Jocie sorry

stillenacht · 19/02/2010 22:03

Am not being a misery - thats Eastenders' job! We will have to agree to disagree on this one.

Lizzylou · 19/02/2010 22:05

I thought Jack did fabulously, he recovered well.

It was so much better than I thought it would be and very moving at the end.

WickedWench · 19/02/2010 22:07

Of course they're massively overpaid. I used to do tv extra work a few years ago and tv work really is money for old rope. They say a sentence or two of lines and then it's all stop while they set and light a new camera angle. They have to remember about three sentences maximum an hour. I could not believe it.

And all this hype about whodunnit being top secret even to the actors. How likely is it that neither Max or Stacey will refer to her being the killer in the next 8 weeks?? They film 8 weeks in advance dontchaknow.

Slartybartfast · 19/02/2010 22:09

JR is dead ? {shock}

leavingonajetplane · 19/02/2010 22:12

Harder than the theatre for this cast IMO, as they only got a script and started rehearsing this week. Never mind only knowing the ending 30 minutes before it aired!

Think the production team did v well to go to such lenghts to prevent leaks and im glad they did, but hard on the actors IMO!

I was impressed, this was way out of their comfort zone for many of them.

Rockbird · 19/02/2010 22:20

I know you're just being picky , I wanted to put a after my post but thought it might be passive-aggressive

Miggsie · 19/02/2010 22:24

It makes you appreciate the skill of the video editors when you see them stumbling about over lines a theatrically trained actor would have remembered and delivered just fine.

stillenacht · 19/02/2010 22:24

really?

stillenacht · 19/02/2010 22:25

Miggsie - totally agree
