I want to know why they didn't interview Stacey/Lacey on the BBC3 thing afterwards

foxinsocks · 19/02/2010 22:27

they said she had lost her voice. Had kept it entirely for the episode and then they didn't want to make her strain her voice again by getting her to do interviews!

leavingonajetplane · 19/02/2010 22:28

She went home sick with flu yesterday and nearly lost her voice entirely before tonights show!

castille · 19/02/2010 22:35

ah ok, thank you, missed that bit, poor thing, her big moment and everything!

WickedWench · 19/02/2010 22:35

Quite right Miggsie. Done a lot of professional theatre work and the two do not compare at all. Have spoken to a couple of mates who've done both, live tv and theatre, and they agree.

Probably should have put that in my post for context. TV work really is money for old rope, theatre work is 100% more pressure, nerves, excitement, adrenalin. There is no comparison. I think the techies had the harder job tonight although the actors who have only ever done tv must have found it very hard.

And if Stacey and Max discuss her being the killer in the next 8 weeks then all the 'secrecy' as to the whodunnit bullshit will be just that. Bullshit!

WineFlu · 19/02/2010 22:45

Marvelously shaky camera work at times though and panting as Max,Stacey and co ran from one place to the other - just to get back to the topic (and not having seen BBC3!)

WineFlu · 19/02/2010 22:45

Btw, was that actually the way Ian's front room and kitchen were always decorated???

Steery · 19/02/2010 22:46

Well, I really enjoyed it and thought all the actors did well. I particularly thought the chemistry between 'Ronnie' and 'Roxy' was superb and believeable.

Neon · 19/02/2010 22:47

I had water-y eyes just watched un-live on BBC3. Thought it was brilliant!!! Can't believe Bradly deaded though - they're my fave couple ever

evansmummy · 19/02/2010 23:21

I feel very sad now. Poor Bradley, and poor Stacey. She does have a rough old time of things, doesn't she...

I though they all did amazingly well, and even though Jack actor did fluff up, I agree that it seemed to add, for me, to the reality of a sitation like that.

They should do more

donnie · 20/02/2010 08:56

Poor Bradders! I was really upset - I didn't see the ending coming at all.I had no idea Stacey was even in the frame!

She was excellent, so was Janine (and Bradley).

What is this business with the hairbrush though, can anyone enlighten me about that?

minko · 20/02/2010 10:46

Poor Jack. He was rubbish in the live Bill too when he was in it. They tried to stage a big old stunt where the car he was in rolled over and he had to crawl out all heroic like. Exept it went wrong and the car didn't roll and he still crept out looking heroic and you wondered why he looked all bashed up. Very embarrassing...

Slartybartfast · 20/02/2010 11:16

hte hair brush, stacey's mad friend, whatshername, took ronnie's hairbrush to use dna proof of paternity - archie - though turns out he had been made sterile.

all makes sense now with stacey, however i think she fluffed her lines too and wonder if that is why she wasnt on the live aftershow?

Slartybartfast · 20/02/2010 11:18

what i don't understnad is on the liveaftershow they showed both ryan and max admitted to the murder, so these were pre-recorded bits, ??
and why pre-record?
to confuse the actors?

flier · 20/02/2010 11:22

when exactly did Jack fluff his lines? and Stacey? I was too busy watching the story unfold to watch for fluffs

Slartybartfast · 20/02/2010 11:26

well i am sure stacey said, it was me that killed him archie,
i did it (?)
sounds wrong to me
and jack made a huge whopper, it was cringe making tv.

Pennies · 20/02/2010 11:26

Check out what Archie says about Stacey at 0:25

It was there all the time.

Slartybartfast · 20/02/2010 11:27

can;t hear it properly,
give us a clue

Pennies · 20/02/2010 11:28

They pre-recorded stuff just in case of something going really wrong and to keep the secret they filmed different endings so even the actors didn't know.

I thought the whole thing was done spectacularly well.

Slartybartfast · 20/02/2010 11:29

it was nerve wracking wasnt it?

Pennies · 20/02/2010 11:37

I know one of the characters in RL (acquaintance not mate) and he was utterly bricking himself about the show. It made watching it even more nervous because I knew how he was feeling and I know his wife must have been a nervous wreck too!

Pennies · 20/02/2010 11:37

Listen again. Won't post what she says until someone else hears it!

YouCantTeuchThis · 20/02/2010 11:51

something about her preferring a mature man? 'You'll never be enough for her'...

Pennies · 20/02/2010 11:55

I thought he said "she could murder"

Might have misheard tho!

edam · 20/02/2010 12:04

Showed just how much TV has changed over the past couple of decades. It looked so slooooooow with no fast cutting.

Funny to think programmes like Yes, Minister which were basically three blokes talking in a room with no incidental music were on BBC1, mainstream peak hours.
