Channel 4 tonight, featuring a lovely young couple from our village.

Oh Sleepy that's such a shame. I regularly contemplate switching careers entirely and training in midwifery.

PictureThis · 23/02/2010 21:19

oh, maybe they were doing the camera angles 'the other way' then.

Heated · 23/02/2010 21:19

Dominique's a nice cheery mw.

My mw for the first two was just so, so lovely, she went above and beyond the call of duty. Now I have a disinterested, cold-fish, form-filling automaton.

Alambil · 23/02/2010 21:19

Nancy is always caught yawning!

JollyPirate · 23/02/2010 21:20

poshtottie · 23/02/2010 21:20

Why is Nancy done up like a dogs dinner.

Oh yes she's on the telly.

PictureThis · 23/02/2010 21:20

Someone I work with now told me that Nancy used to be a bouncer!!!

Alambil · 23/02/2010 21:21

JollyPirate · 23/02/2010 21:21

Am LOL at Nancy having been a bouncer - perfect receptionist for Labour ward then...

letsblowthistacostand · 23/02/2010 21:23

can totally imagine Nancy being a bouncer

Lisa & Will's baby so beautiful. poor little thing, hope she holds him soon.

expatinscotland · 23/02/2010 21:23

Oh, notnow, I was terrible! I had no idea what it felt like, because I had an epidural and H-F forceps with DD1 (back to back, hand up by her ear), so when we got to hospital I couldn't stand up anymore. I was just crouched in the passenger footwell!

DH ran for midwife and when she asked, 'Do you feel like you need to push?' I told her the truth, that I felt like doing the biggest shit ever!

They got me into a room sharpish, I just had a lip of cervix in the way, and DD2 came out about 20 mins. later - this huge African guy picked me up on all fours and I stayed that way the entire time!

PictureThis · 23/02/2010 21:23

Maybe they're saving her for next week

letsblowthistacostand · 23/02/2010 21:24

OMG she looks terrified

Alambil · 23/02/2010 21:24

I love Dominique's explaining what is happening; very reassuring

petalpower · 23/02/2010 21:25

expatinscotland · 23/02/2010 21:25

Darren's a twat.

McDreamy · 23/02/2010 21:26

Dominique is just lovely!

I've started this for us

tiredfeet · 23/02/2010 21:26

I want Dominique as my midwife! She would make me calm down I think

Lisa's story has me in floods of tears, she seems lovely and it must be so so hard to see your baby and not be able to hold it

eastendmummy · 23/02/2010 21:26

13 floors - ouch!
