Yes mine says pedal backwards.

I ignore it and carry on going forwards. Am not being told what to do by some machine

ahundredtimes · 25/01/2010 11:56

lol at 'the matrix'. I am LOVING everything Getorf says today

I didn't understand that last post, is it in gym speak?

Right, I must go and be sensible and stop mucking around. Is Being Human a vampire show? This is my question.

Maybe I don't like Glee, because I never watched Nip/Tuck? I didn't get that either.

bibbitybobbityhat · 25/01/2010 11:56

Heir Hunters is grimly fascinating. Such an odd way to make a living. Quite fancy trying to get into it myself, tbh.

notyummy · 25/01/2010 11:57

mii - yes! We are watching Being Human.

Although I am permanently confused because I didn't see the first series and can't work out how the vampires appear to be able to breal all the vampire rules.

Also watching Heroes....although it had better buck up, or it will be going the same way as 24 and Lost in this household. We are ruthless quality controllers on our Sky Plus.

(Apart from Americas/Canadas/Britain's Next Top Model, obviously...)

BradSplit · 25/01/2010 11:57

no all vampirey things are banned

midnightexpress · 25/01/2010 11:58

True Blood anyone?

Is brad in fact a talking hamster?

If you pedal backwards do they lose the money? Am very confused.

midnightexpress · 25/01/2010 11:59

x-posts. Why are all vampiry things banned? I bet someone in Glee will turn out to be a vampire and then you'll be scuppered with all your fancy rules.

PfftTheMagicDragon · 25/01/2010 12:00

I don't watch 24. I watch the others though, The Good Wife is the best new show I have seen since Mad Men.

BradSplit · 25/01/2010 12:00

no farking way
right back to mark rich and poor qs

Hassled · 25/01/2010 12:01

Dammit. Yet another clique I can't be arsed to join.

24 - too much for me. Too insane.
Lost - I threw in the towel near the start of series 3. Regret it now - may have to catch up.
Mad Men - again, regret not watching it but feel I'm too far behind.
Good Wife - has passed me by completely.
Glee - yes, watch it, like it.

Heroes, anyone?

midnightexpress · 25/01/2010 12:02

Did we ever find out who the son of god is, if not Jesus?

AitchTwoOhOneOh · 25/01/2010 12:02

i like being human.

i set the hard drive to record the first series of mad men, wanted to watch with dh rather than three weeks ahead by myself. anyhoo, three eps in, utterly captivated, hard drive suddenly stopped recording it and so we were lost. dh's pal has a box set, there is talk of borrowing it.

i like Fringe.

GetOrfMoiLand · 25/01/2010 12:02

The last full series which I watched was Ally McBeal.

Wish was on MN then as I would have SO enjoyed ripping that character to shreds.

Thanks 100X

midnightexpress · 25/01/2010 12:04

Try again Aitch. I was v meh when I saw one from 1st series but got completely absorbed by the 2nd series and am now wetting my pants with excitement about series 3.

BradSplit · 25/01/2010 12:05

best thing since sopranos

the ONLY SHow i dont watch on "codvision"?

mii · 25/01/2010 12:05

Heroes is awful past series 3

DH and I actually had an argument about it taking up planner space (he is still watching)

Lost had better explain everything in the first two episodes or we are scrapping it

That new dating show on sat nights is a must see, DH and I have lots of fun guessing which one the fella is going to go for

Hassled · 25/01/2010 12:07

Modern Family? I'm slightly obsessed with how much I love Modern Family. Sky1 on a Thursday.

Ally McBeal was one of the most insane series of all time. Barking.

MarineIguana · 25/01/2010 12:11

I kind of was interested in the idea of Glee, but I can't watch it because I can't bear the word "glee"

I know someone who uses it as some kind of cool/get-me-I'm-so-alternative term eg "I had so much glee when I got my new shoes / wishing you lots of glee on your birthday"

So Glee is out, and glad to hear it's not all that (at least for 40-something old bats)

GetOrfMoiLand · 25/01/2010 12:13

yesa agree Ally McB - all entranced at the time however viewed now it would look NUTS.

I mean, it is a comedy about someone who is clearly mentally disturbed. Odd indeed.

midnightexpress · 25/01/2010 12:14

Plus she had shockingly bad hair.

midnightexpress · 25/01/2010 12:14

Though I adore Robert Downey Jr.

MarineIguana · 25/01/2010 12:15

Ally McBeal always left me baffled. It had some great other characters, just Ally herself was so deeply annoying and wet and her fecking skirt suits drove me mad. If it had been built around a strong character with balls (eg like Nurse Jackie) it would have worked.

mii · 25/01/2010 12:15

yy how is modern family not in your list OP?

BradSplit · 25/01/2010 12:27

have never seen MF
never watched aly

she too ditsy

GetOrfMoiLand · 25/01/2010 12:34

And that whole unisex toilet crap with Barry White music.

I loved it at the time but gawd knows why.

Oh yes I do like MF however never know when it's on so it's lucky when I do find it. My DP is a mix of the embarassing dad and the gruff dad out of married with children (me and dd have told him this).

Also one of my fave progs of all time - malcom in the Middle. I absolutely loved it and would love it on dvd to watch for all eternity however it isn't sold on DVD in this country apparently.
