oh yes, me too. particularly michael ball getting every line wrong then collapsing into asthmatic giggles.

MadBadandCoveredinTinsel · 24/12/2009 14:23

Drat! I missed it all because I was stuck in the snow. I often invite DH to beat me on the bottom with a Woman's Weekly.

KaySqueeHarker · 24/12/2009 14:25

'Welcome to the world of cacharel' is one of my favourites. We say it whenever we're in the posh cosmetics bits in department stores.

KaySqueeHarker · 24/12/2009 14:27

and 'You had your pin-up girl, I couldn't match her. I didn't want to, it was Mrs Thatcher'

BalloonSlayer · 24/12/2009 14:29

I love her but I do wish she wouldn't sing those godawful songs. Except 'Let's Do It,' which is fab.

MadBadandCoveredinTinsel · 24/12/2009 14:30

Yes, me too! And describing a play as "very Whoops! There Go My Bloomers" is a useful shorthand form of drama criticism.

MadBadandCoveredinTinsel · 24/12/2009 14:32

That was to Kay's comment about the world of Sasharelle.

CMOTdibbler · 24/12/2009 14:33

I watched it whilst wrapping presents yesterday. God, I love her. Just the sight of a bottle of Malibuuuu is enough to start me giggling.

I agree about that Christmas special - but the Ann Widecombe song is great

MadBadandCoveredinTinsel · 24/12/2009 14:37

My sherry habit has earned me the family nickname of Kimberley.

poinsettydawg · 24/12/2009 14:41

I don't like victoria wood's comedy.

wollysocks · 24/12/2009 16:34

will check when this is on.. would love to watch it if it is on tonight. i caught a docu the other night and miss vw work, she is brilliant.

said to DP "you know two soups" and he in his 50's and not heard of it! It is so so brialliant I don't know how they managed to get a good take as it would have creased me up all the time, her timing is perfection.

pissovski · 24/12/2009 17:53

damn it ithat means i missed Michael Ball too love him

TheCallerWithheldTheirNumber · 24/12/2009 22:59

I thought it was rotten. Bah humbug.

MadBadandCoveredinTinsel · 24/12/2009 23:14

I am now watching an ancient video of An Audience with Victoria Wood. She is a genius. So there.

HinnyPet · 24/12/2009 23:44

wasn't that good! Beat me on the bottom with a Womans Weekly haha!

Taramuddle · 24/12/2009 23:49

It was pants, how disappointing!

HumBuggerance · 25/12/2009 12:04

I did like the Lark Rise pisstake, very well observed.

madamearcati · 25/12/2009 13:16

Love VW My favourite sketch is another waitress one.
'is it on the trolley ,can you point to it'
Anyone else remember that
and
'who's been telling you about guttering ?' is a catch phrase in our family.

FolornHope · 25/12/2009 13:47

and DO NOT get me started on the royle family.

jeep · 25/12/2009 22:02

disappointed by victoria last night and the royle family just did me head in

Taramuddle · 25/12/2009 22:49

Yeah the royal family has definately lost it's spark, they need to let it go. Think gavin & stacey is heading that way too.....
