For me it's numberjacks. I hate it with a passion, and always scramble for the remote whilst desperately trying to distract LO (so she wont notice I've changed the channel, or "shangychanol" as she puts it) before it's tragically lame intro music starts...

And while I'm on the subject, why oh why are the characters in kids TV shows so alarmingly freakish?! Why do those odd things in Waybaloo have hardly any nose? And massive heads?? Why can't they just look normal and cute?! And why does dirt girl have an actors eyes, an animated head and a person in a costume for a body?!!

Am I alone in my "going-slightly-insane-spending-all-day-on-my-own-with-a-toddler" madness here?!

yo gaba gaba is hilarious, I seriously thought i was tripping the first time i saw it.

My boys are bigger now and one loves a shitty show called super-duper sumos on some kids cable channel or something, which seems to involve bad batt jokes at any opportunity. it is utterly dire and horrid.

Oh the numberjacks for sure - my evil and twisted MIL got DSs a numberjacks dvd. It's gone missing.

Worst of all is Green Balloon Club which is just dire - cannot bear the patronising children (children talking down to children -bizarre).

And of course Big Cook Little Cook is not good - far to many 'waheys' and 'hohos' and the recipes are revolting.

In fact Cbeebies is a bit rubbish at the moment.

DD1 (4) has banned Dirtgirl - because "it looks like they're going to do gardening & then they just don't". Also no 'Chuggington' (agree - not very realistic trains & horrid animation) and anything starring Justin.

I LOATHE 'Big Cook, Little Cook' - the food is always a weird & often disgusting mix of ingredients - often adding raisins to something savoury just so it can have eyes! It's a vision of all that's wrong with food in this country (poss another thread) - all how it looks & making it into 'interesting' shapes rather than how it tastes (I don't think I've ever seen anyone consume anything on it) & the annoying washing up song!

We like 'Show Me, Show Me' - we didn't realise how much we valued Chris & Pui til the other two took over from them. 'Same Smile' though the girl can't sing, 'Waybaloo' for the yogo moves and 'I Can Cook' where they do cook & eat their food and some of recipes are actually quite passable (though it would again benefit from less singing). 'Night Garden' is relaxing & the dance is fab.

Nothing beats 'CharlieLola' though - I speak as someone who's DD1 has been ill for the last 2 days & watched nothing but.

I can watch Chuggington (at least it's not Thomas) Peppa Pig, Timmy Time, Nina and the Neurons and Something Special.

We also Sky+ Sarah Jane Adventures for my DH as he is a massive Dr Who fan. He hasn't even got the excuse that it's for my son as he's only 2.5. When I was pregnant DH had a countdown clock on the computer. It wasn't until my due date it was until the new series of Dr. Who started .

I hate most of them, especially Scooby Doo which DD thinks is fabulous. I wish just once the monster/creature/phantom/whatever would actually do in the lot of them.
