Can't believe its a whole week til to see what happens next. Said that to dd who said 'but Mummy when you were a little girl you had to wait weeks to watch the whole thing' She is a Peter Davison fan.

nymphadora · 25/12/2009 20:27

So back to Dr Who....

But Wilf was affected before he went in the radiation chamber sp he must be human

RustyBear · 25/12/2009 20:39

I liked the King's Demons reference at the beginning.

VicarInaTinselTuTu · 25/12/2009 20:57

chegirlwithbellson · 25/12/2009 21:00

He said he had sex with Elizabeth I.

HOW COULD HE!

I am much better looking than her.

Had to try really hard not to squeal out loud when he hinted at it.

RustyBear · 25/12/2009 21:02

I was glad they resolved that little bit from the end of The Shakespeare Code though.

RustyBear · 25/12/2009 21:05

The fanfic writers will have a field day with the hints the doctor gave....

RustyBear · 26/12/2009 00:40

Talking of which, where's Kay gone? Off to write some Ten/E1 smut?

I'm here, bit busy for Ten/E1 fic, but I did squee at the reference, very naughty.

Looking forward to the New year, but oh my, the scene in the cafe with Wilf, the Doctor's tears about regeneration, what a beautiful bittersweet moment, fully capturing what fans will feel about it too. Gorgeous acting.

RustyBear · 26/12/2009 11:50

Oh yes, I loved that bit too; I like it that regeneration isn't just treated like a 'quick fix' and everything's fine again as it has been in the past. OK, there have been a few physical problems for the new doctor sometimes but we've never really seen what it means to the 'outgoing' personality. Maybe it needed an actor like DT to do it properly...

Now for Hamlet....

nymphadora · 26/12/2009 12:49

Hamlet on stage V Hamlet on TV will be the question!

Woke up to dd2 (8) shouting 'To be or not to be' down the stairs

SantaIsMyLoveSlave · 26/12/2009 14:56

Am now at least half-planning trip to Sheffield in September for John Simm's Hamlet...

nymphadora · 26/12/2009 15:28

hmm may be tempted by that too...

KaySqueeHarker · 26/12/2009 18:06

Rusty, I think it was a good explanation as to why multi Doctor stories have the Doctors being so antagonistic to each other, too. Very clever stuff.

VicarInaTinselTuTu · 27/12/2009 22:42

you know, im waiting for the new writers on Dr Who

if russel T davies cant make for an exciting episode despite having David Tenant AND John Simm then its time to go! and it was a crap episode. unfortunately.

DavidTennantIsMyLoveSlave · 28/12/2009 00:05

I do think they needed to cut out the mystic bollocks with the potions at the beginning, and the John Simm farting around leaping tall buildings in a single bound stuff. Just stick two out of three of David Tennant, Bernard Cribbins and John Simm on screen and let them interact. And put in proper plot in the space you've freed up.

JackieNo · 29/12/2009 10:02

But if they'd cut the potions bit at the beginning, we'd have missed out on a semi-naked John Simm, and I don't think any of us would have wanted that, would we .

JohnSimmIsMyLoveSlave · 29/12/2009 13:24

They could have had a fully semi-naked John Simm strapped to a lab table or something instead. Not that I've spent way too long thinking about this...

nymphadora · 29/12/2009 16:14

mmmmmmm Thats much more logical JohnSimmismyloveslave

JackieNo · 29/12/2009 16:16

I'm liking that thought too, JSIMLS .
