I think it'd be really interesting to do... maybe in a bit longer than 5 weeks!

LittleMissBliss · 14/12/2009 21:10

god brings it all back.

NorbertDentressAngel · 14/12/2009 21:11

I saw this advertised earlier and realised that it would probably be quite interesting but I'm afraid shes just too unbearable to watch so I'm giving it a miss.

RTKangaSANTAMummy · 14/12/2009 21:14

fern britton did a series several years ago about becoming a midwife as it was the job she would have done if hadn't become a presenter

Fern was really deffo brill

Amanda is rather OTT with the parents isn't she?

god she is annoying.

i wouldn't let her near me

Happyneverafter · 14/12/2009 21:19

Just want you want in Labour is Amanda Holden and her tears and a film crew.

frakkinaroundthechristmastree · 14/12/2009 21:23

Oh my lord. I would have been kicked out of my work experience if I'd been like that! She's a bit too much.

5inthesleighbed · 14/12/2009 21:27

It all seems a bit too dangerous, expecting someone with such little and rushed training, and cries at the drop of a hat, delivering a baby.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 14/12/2009 21:27

I am enjoying this... thanks for reminding me

Alambil · 14/12/2009 21:30

well she's not doing it alone!

SixtyFootDoll · 14/12/2009 21:31

I think she comes acros really well

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 14/12/2009 21:32

yuk

how fucking patronising to real midwives

who spend years training to do this wonderful job...

she should take her pretty little pout and fuck right off

She's better since that grief talk she had. Think that brought her down to earth with a bump!

npg1 · 14/12/2009 21:34

I think this is a great program, it is something I am interested in and have thought of going to nursing school to become a midwife, it's a lot of work!

5inthesleighbed · 14/12/2009 21:34

The grief talk was really interesting, because I think a lot of women don't thin about that side of it. The grief counsellor seemed lovely.

LittleWhiteWolf · 14/12/2009 21:44

She did seem very lovely, but it really made me well up and snuggle DD.
Making me very broody and nostalgic for my lovely birth experience...but DD is only 5 months old and DH is getting a bit at my broodiness!
