I can't even imagine the logistics, even with 4 nannies so quite intrigued to watch this documentary.

Anyone else?

Meglet · 12/11/2009 21:06

I have a bad feeling she is going to be more organised than I am with just two

MummyElk · 12/11/2009 21:06

omg they really might not have found the 8th if he hadn't had a rummage?!!!!!???

Ewe · 12/11/2009 21:07

I can't imagine how I would feel being told I have an extra baby that they found when delivering... eek. Not to mention that being your 8th baby that day, jeez.

MummyElk · 12/11/2009 21:09

i realise i'm pg and hormonal but her trying to feed them all and the crying is making me feel sad, it's like nest of baby birds

Lilyloo · 12/11/2009 21:10

I cannot begin to imagine the logistics of this womans life ....

iamaLeafontheWind · 12/11/2009 21:14

Just turned this on, how did she get 14 kids to sleep at the same time?

NoMoreThankYou · 12/11/2009 21:14

Did they say all 14 children were from artificial insemination??

AK1107 · 12/11/2009 21:17

Wow....I thought mealtimes with 3 was stressful!!

Ewe · 12/11/2009 21:18

She has two night nannies and four day nannies I read in the gossip rag paper the other day.

Can't believe she only has three hours sleep, I would die...

Clever table/feeding chair thing!

MollieO · 12/11/2009 21:20

USD 1000 a week on food! 80 nappies a day. Bloody hell.

Well, she probably gets a lot of money from publicity, and almost certainly a lot of gifts and donations. Not sure the environmental thing is that relevant though - how many other women do you see going out and having 14 children?

Ewe · 12/11/2009 21:25

$1000 a week on food is insane.

They looked so cute those two little ones sharing a cot and rolling around!

'Who in heaven's name is paying for it all?' - Channel 4 and various other tv stations/magazines/radio shows I would imagine.

I'm not watching this, but did something else. She seems quite together to me and organsied. Jon and Kate plus however many don't get all this flack, why should she?

dingdong3 · 12/11/2009 21:26

Strangely she's reminding me a bit of Katie Price - that kind of exhibitionistic streak....I think it's wrong - feel so sorry for her older kids...they seem really messed up by it all.

MollieO · 12/11/2009 21:26

It sounds as if is more about her doctor than something she deliberately did. He implanted 5 embryos every time and that resulted in one pregnancy. I guess she was aiming for 7 rather than 14.

Wonderstuff · 12/11/2009 21:27

Can't believe the doctor implanted 6 embryos!
Also amazed she was able to afford ivf with no job and 6 older ones, can't imagine it is cheap in the US.

Wow how does an ASD kid cope in that house?

Meglet · 12/11/2009 21:29

IIRC she had some big compensation pay out years ago which has paid for it all. Can't remember what it was for though.

Ewe · 12/11/2009 21:29

I like her. She didn't aim for octuplets, she seems to be doing the best she can and it will get easier as they get bigger.

Even if she spent an hour a day one on one time with each child that would still be more than some parents who work long hours etc.
