Anyone agree? I love Malcolm so much, it's just too good to be true.

Agree didn't enjoy it so much, especially the Ollie/Emma parts, but still did laugh at the farce of them all in the studio. And I do quite often listen to Richard Bacon so the text messages made me laugh because latenight talk radio text messages are often, for want of a better phrase, pretty random.

will satisfy myself with some old episodes I think [saddo emoticon]

My first thought on hearing of the appointment of Baroness Ashton as the Foreign Whatever of Europe was: she was looooooow on the list, so looooooow that the next candidate was my left bollock with a fucking smiley face drawn on.

nigelslaterfan · 21/11/2009 23:48

Love your name ohfuschia btw. Yeah, this one didn't quite work about from Richard. I know what you mean about the Random thing. And some lovely moments of course.

Gee thanks, my goth teen self still lurks [am now 36, need another saddo emoticon]

policywonk · 21/11/2009 23:57

I thought tonight's was great, the best of the series so far IMO. 'Like a clown walking across a minefield' and 'she's behaving like a squirrel in a bin' had me hooting. I think I prefer it without the swearing. And yes, RB was great and the texts were genius.

ohfuschia · 22/11/2009 00:02

oh yes the squirrel in the pedal bin line was my favourite

edam · 22/11/2009 00:17

dh and I guffawed most at the cunt cake...

Lotster · 22/11/2009 10:35

AAaargh, my knackered husband fell asleep with his mouth open before we could watch it and dutiful wife that I am, have not seen it yet!

daftpunk · 22/11/2009 10:39

it's very good...but not as good as it used to be...

Lotster · 22/11/2009 10:47

Still a country mile wittier than anything else out there though!

daftpunk · 22/11/2009 10:56

yes it is...but i thought it was better when Chris Langham was in it..

and as much as i love PC...i can't understand a word he says apart form the swear words

InMyLittleHead · 22/11/2009 14:34

I love the names Malcolm calls Olly, i.e.:

  • 'Christopher Robin'
  • 'Joe 90'
  • 'Andy Pandy' and, my personal favourite, 'Little Bo Cock-Jockey'

kind of like Dr Cox from Scrubs but much ruder and therefore better

TheFoosa · 22/11/2009 14:41

Yes, the cunt cake which could be from anyone ... 'Oh, it's from the Prime Minister'.

JackBauer · 22/11/2009 18:11

Can we talk now?

SixtyFootDoll · 22/11/2009 18:17

when is it on>
Saw a clip of it and thin I would like it

CJCregg · 22/11/2009 18:19

Oh yes, please can we talk about it now? Only just got back online ...

SixtyFootDoll, it's on Saturday nights at 10.15 on BBC2, but you can get it on iPlayer and it's also repeated at some point during the week, not sure when.

wintera · 22/11/2009 18:31

I was very impressed with Richard Bacon too. But then again, he seems to know a great deal about politics. I remember when he covered for Matthew Wright on his show and he really seemed to know what he was talking about. He completely wiped the bloody floor with Carole Malone!
